The passenger side jack point which was quite rusty and didn't look very strong, it's as solid as a rock now!

Gee wizz, that rust doesn't look too friendly, but you will make it. Just give it the beautiful loving care a mother would give to her baby. (baby,
obviously refering to the beetle).
You restoring the whole floorpan yourself, or taking it in to a company like Custom Offroad in Brisbane to get it all up to scratch?

Hey guys!
Just thought I would check in an update on how we are going with the bug!! Well obviously we didn't meet our deadline before klubfest *sniff sniff*
mainly because of work commitments. My boyfriend had shift change and now works during the week and I have a full time job as well! And on top of that
AND doing up the buggy we are in the process of moving into our new house hehehe
Well that's all good though, I am not fussed at all that it's not done because it has given us time to work on the smaller (still very important)
things. Like all of the small imperfections and prep work that determines how the final result and paint job will turn out! But Daphine will be ready
to prime soon and I will post more piccies up here in the lead up to that.
All the welding has been done and rust has been replaced with metal. I have also bought some very nice looking mags for her and have had new brakes
redrilled from custom off road (thanks Terry!). All we really have left to do is take the body back to bare metal, do a general cleanup and paint.
We are painting a pearl over white which should be interesting. What is the best temperature to paint a car? The bug will be in a shed all closed off
with tarps and in Qld atm it is about 15-25 degrees throughout the day. But it does vary. I have heard not to paint when it's raining as well or the
paint will go milky and crack or something? We are being loaned some painting heaters and have been advised to have them on the morning that we are
going to paint the bug, just to warm up the metal...is this good to do and should we have them turned on the entire time we paint?
Foxy
xx

Hey, i've got some photos of this one somewhere. Someone damaged it in a carpark and had to be repaired. I'll find 'em and try to remember how to
post them.
