Well done Preacherman, shows that determination does work.
Wish you the best the your new love.:thumb

p.s. In the latest Volksworld there is a new guy advertising as Aussie Pete's
vw imports - "quality outback buses at sensible prices....tell us what you're
looking for - we'll find it!"
Maybe he knows something we don't? I don't think so....

Hi Guys

Just want to thank you guys for your well wishes...32 years is a long time to wait but it is worth it. I hope all you guys realise your dream vehicle...even tho it may need a complete resto.

I just spoke to George and normally I would not repeat things someone tells me but I have to say something here. Someone from Melbourne is ringing George and is trying to get him to break the deal that was struck with me and is offering to come and collect it etc. I have given George a substantial deposit already and George is a man of integrity. This guy from melbourne is throwing money George's way.

All I an say is that this is really nasty and i will name the person if he does not stop this action as well as take it up with solicitors. I just can't believe they guy is doing this and I have no doubt YOU are reading these words.

I will have no hesitation is taking this matter further as well as naming you so that the Forum members can deal with YOU and let YOU know what they think of you!!

This is really a nasty effort on this guys part. I can believe that until a vehicle is sold then you haggle but once it is sold then you do not try to undermine another enthusiasts deal.

I KNOW YOU GUYS WILL BE AS OUTRAGED ABOUT THIS AS I AM. Please please don't do this and let it go.

Thanks again to all of you for your well wishes....if I drank I would buy you a beer...how about a cold coke!!

This should be a really happy time for me but I am really upset at the actions of this person.

Lets see if I understand this!

These VW's were at auction, you just happen to mention to the seller, you had a spare 10k or whatever the price was.

Now, before anyone else could bid and maybe win the auction, it was cancelled and a deal was struck..

but your having a problem with ppl also trying to offer the seller cash money for these VW....

Welcome to the real world...mate. It must be bliss living in your mind.

ps: whats the bastards name in Melbourne? how dare he try and buy these vw's...

Clearly Phat Rat you do not understand it. As I said the seller was going to take it off ebay because in the first place he had wanted to list the 3 vehicles separately and others were only interested in the beetles!

I spoke to him and offered to buy the vehicle. I did not ask him not to list it. He accepted my offer in principle. . He waited till it was off ebay before accepting the offer and only the did I send him a deposit.

I am sorry you cannot see the wrong in trying to stop someone to go ahead with a deal already agreed on. That may be OK with you but not with me

You make me laugh....once a deposit is paid it is the same a a contract. I know this as I've been to court due to the same thing happening to me. I paid a deposit for a car and it was sold from under me.I ended up with the car, the other person got their money back and the "seller" paid costs. I'd hate to live in your "mind" What would you think if the seller decided to pull it from auction and keep it? It's his car he can do what he wants with it. He decided to sell it,a deal was struck and a deposit paid.Good on him.:thumb

Mick, I know it's hard for you but, try and see the big picture.

Then and only then would your comments make sense.

I'm sure what ever preacherman is preaching, down there, it will help the spuds grow.

Phat Rat these comments are just a product of your bitternes at me not wanting to sell you the Triple Cab after you sent me a rude sms. I have never met you nor have I had any dealings with you prior to your request to me asking if I should sell you the Triple.

I do not want to get into a slanging match with you. I feel that the majority of peoplethat have responded to my comments have been positive. If you choose not to be so...well so be it. But there is a reason I believe for your response.

What i preach is forgiveness and i have no hard feelings towards you...how about letting this go now mate.

PM, if you know the guy who is doing this, why don't you take it up with him directly Mate? Its best for all. Also if I have been waiting 32 years, I would fly to Vic, pay and grab the vehicle. Don't leave it any longer.
Congrats and good luck

called the guy about it - got quite upperty about it. But then it happens, I bought a 74 Camper off eBay, with BUY NOW price and they still sold it elsewhere!. Check the user rating is my advice, zeros and sub 10 eBayers tend to not do the right thing if they feel they didn't get what they wanted.....

Hope the bus stays in Oz,

I think it was a good fair buy, the seller was going to advertise it separately, he could of said no and continued with a relist on ebay, but an agreement was reached just at the right time. Top buy preacherman!
