fan welding

Oh yeah I forgot to answer that sorry Glen....
It was suggested to weld the crimped fin ends where they meet the side plates of the fan to add strength to the unit. The fan is "over driven" and could see very high speeds with an engine that is capable of RPM over 6K.
Fan go bang......hand in wallet!
I also had it dynamically balanced to less than G1.

OK so it's new exhaust time......I'm aiming to replicate the Sebring style exhaust as pictured below. I've posted in tech talk looking for some help in the primary and secondary lengths of the headers...need to start this week if I'm to meet the target of the nationals. Might just measure up a merged header and use those sizes I guess!!

There's plenty of length and bends to allow the pipes to expand and contract with the engine I think.
The pipes are pretty flexable when off.
I hope that it is not tooooooo loud though.

I think the mufflers are from a BMW with 2 in and 2 out 1 5/8" pipes. The single outlet I fabricated with 2 1/2" bends.
Hmmmm, just installed it and it'sLOUD.
I'll need to insert a removable baffle plate in the outlet to make it a bit more road friendly. But dosn't it sound great when it's wound up!
