We've just been banned at work from using google earth. Eats up so much bandwidth the IT section freaked!! But even they admit google earth is the
ducks nuts!!
In the worlds before Monkey primal chaos reigned. heaven sought order, but he pheonix can fly only when its feathers are grown. the 4 worlds formed
again and yet again, as the endless aoens weild and passed. Time and the pure essence of heaven and the moisture of the earth all worked upon a
certain rock old as creation. And it became mgically fertile. That first egg was named "Thought". Thathaga Buddha, the father Buddha, said
with our thoughts we make the world. Elemental forces caused the egg to hatch and from it came a stone monkey! The nature of MONKEY WAS

I'm still trying to work out when the photos of Canberra were taken. There is a helicopter at my daughters school so it was summer last year.
I think they photoshopped the white house to hide the vulnerable parts of the roof. Normal paranoia.

I'm addicted to this site now. I managed to find the pyramids and the sphynx. I was looking in no mans land. Didnt know they were right near the
city. what do you think all the little squares around it are? just buildings? archeology digs?

Yes, they've photoshopped out the roof to make it blank... hiding any arials, satellite dishes etc they might have there.

Yes I thought it was roughly a year and a half ago. If you are familiar with any suburbs that were being built then you could look for which houses
had been completed? It's definately after the fires, I can see one destroyed house in my street has been rebuilt in the Google Earth pics but the
one next to it is shown as a bare block, they built that house only a couple of months after the first was finished but I can't remember exactly when
that was!

Question for Canberra people:
Between the airport and Queanbeyan there is a large stand of trees that has been planted as a perfect cross shape. What is that for?

do a search on "Tucson", then do a further search on "Bone Yard", then go into satellite view and look at "D" the Prima Air Museum I think it's
called. Zoom in and check out the areas to the north and north east and see how many abandoned planes there are at the graveyard!

holy bat poo batman. The money in scrap aluminium alone would be enough to buy half of australia. I bet the planes get nervous flying down onto that
runway.

That's the US Airforce 'graveyard', although it's not really a graveyard as such. When aircraft are too old or they don't need them anymore
they're sent here and the engines are taken out and put into a warehouse and all fluids drained. Any holes/cracks etc are shrinkwrapped and the
aircraft are parked in the desert.
The reason they do this is because is costs very little to keep them, and if they need to mobilise a lot of aircraft, they can have a motly fleet
ready to fly in very little time.
When they found cracks in the wings of the Australian Airforce's F-111's, they bought new wings from the US. The wings were taken off the F-111's
sitting here.
