tomorrow at work i will fit the new tie rod ends to the steering arms and install and set up the new fuel sender into the tank.
today is too nice to work on it so we are off for a cruise.. topless of course! :thumb

tie rod ends on and fuel sender now mounted into tank and calibrated to the gauge.
Just have to fit it all back in the car.

ok..latest update....
have put EVERYTHING back into the car... all wired up and working.. new alternator working beautifully... got the engine running after a little
stuffing around... could turn her over but no go... thought that coz i had removed the fuel tank that of course it would take a while to suck the fuel
into the carby etc... so cranking cranking... hmmm.. could smell the fuel by now... so plenty going into engine... oh THAT wire!!! haha... forgot to
put the negative wire on the coil.... Do'h!!!!! cranked over and she fired up.. running really rough so its off to get her tuned properly on
tuesday.
Fuel gauge works well and all electrics are working *sigh of relief*.
new ride height is good too, good guess on the rear torsion bar setting.
am glad its over for the time being... till Feb anyway... then start the full rebuild. :o

wont be that colour for too long... planning a full rework in feb next year, new paint, new interior etc... wanna change some things on the engine...

lol... thanks... plenty more to do but dont have the time at the moment... will be working too much from now till mid/late december so lello will stay
as is till around jan/feb... then its time for a paint job and new interior (mscabrio wants leather), some more mods to the engine (a new one if
budget allows) mags are almost here and then she'll be sweet.

picked up some goodies at the swap meet... chrome finger gaurds, some bits for the heater system and some polished Empi 5's. Cant wait to put them
on.

latest update....
have had the front shocks replaced, steering box tightened up and centralised, wheel alignment done, pedal assembly fixed up, new clutch tube and
cable and tinware on the rear of the motor installed.
now i just have to source some whitewall tyres for the empi 5's and put em on.

well its been a while... so here is another update...
tyres are being fitted to empi 5's on friday, new door handles and engine lid lock on order. fitting all internal door handles and window winders
with new pins.

nah... i like the stance it has... for the moment anyway lol besides it has to pass rwc first... then i'm thinking of fitting air suspension when
she's off to be repainted.

they are "real" whitewalls... not cut and painted on... will check what the brand is...
got them from antique tyres.
not sure of the colour yet laura... have our eye on a few from falcon or commodore.

Looks good mate, so you`ll just have to keep Tracey out of it now!:thumb.
Is your body work cut to fit the heater boxes?
or did you fit them after the motor was installed.
Iv`e seen a few ovals where they cut the body work, not a big fan of this method but I guess most people believe you don`t really see it.

thanks!... Trace hasn't driven it yet... but she's itchin for a drive!! lol
i didn't have to do anything to the bodywork to fit the heater boxes.. they fit right in.. so i dont know if there has been body modification
previously... when i got it there were no heater boxes on it just the j tubes... all i have to do is connect up the heater outlet to the body tube and
install some new control cables...

Hehehehehe Not a chance Steve! We love her to bits! Although she is not looking as pretty as she should be just yet she is running beautifully. Rod
picked it up from the mechanic after having a little bit of heart surgery on the weekend and I couldn't keep up with him in my bug, it goes like a
rocket!
Soon, she will be changing clothes .........
