wasserboxer motor was available in our Caravelle bus.
They are to my thinking similar in some ways to a type 1 motor in the bottom end, but they have water cooled heads. 1.9 litre motor I think.
The butt of jokes, being called a wasserpisser sometimes in a jovial manner.
None the less it is a VW motor through and through
