It is an additive, but its to protect against rust...works a treat and can be removed with wax and grease remover

No problem...Ive had a few punters on here speak there minds...Thats cool... But Ive had those tail light lens for 15 years...So they aint that new!
They were on my last bug.... From time to time, Id change my tail light lens.... I was thinkin a little more HotRod with this one...Did you notice the
engine cover?.....I've stripped the paint off all together!... So this old girl fits no particular catagorie I guess...
A little bit Rat, a little bit HotRod...
Tell ya the truth...I reckon the pop-outs let the side down....They dont have 30year old dust on them!

I get 'em... but not on allegedly 'rat' VWs
I've never rolled a rat out of a shed after 20 years and found blue dots fitted

Funny....I distinctly remember a story from an old hot VW's mag dated around 1977 I think...And the car featured there had blue dots.... I think the
car was built by Shaky Jake...And oldtime hotrodder and cutomizer.
But really....
What are we being so pedantic about?
Modifing cars is not about you lot, its not about fashion, its not about what hots and whats not...Its about doing what you the owner wants to
do.....
Personally...If a guy wants to build a full custom...Go for it! If a guy wants to build 100pt resto....Go for it! If he wants a genuine barn find
Rat..Then why has he just slammed it?
Becasue he wanted too!
If a rat is being put back on the road, but with a few minor enhancements...the why the hell not go for it?
IMHO, Rats can have all the running gear upgraded (look at most of the cars that KCW build) and have a few minor nods to other styles thrown in....Its
about doing what you like...As the owner, not what everyone says you should be doing.

Thanks for the feedback Danny...It's good to hear what the Perth Streetcar scene think of us and our toys....I met BIG AL at set-up....Bloody nice
bloke...And like everyone we met there...Had a VW story to tell us! And most of them were even positive!
It was also quite amazing to hear how many of them actually still own VeeDubs!
BTW Danny....Choppa gets back from Tiawan on the 11th...Drop him a line about the bits you want... choppaxs@hotmail.com
