Welcome Trent, love the car.
Yes every one, good quality parts cost.
But doing it any other way is false economy.
Good to hear that there are businesses out there that can be recomended.
Oh yeah, Trent don't forget to post your time slip on the "Top 50"

Can you list some specs on the engine and tranny specs Trent?
ie bore and stroke, cam etc, and ratios in the tranny.

Trent,
totally impressed with the car man, good to see you went with EFI too,

just looking at the chassis pics, looks quite simple really. I was sort of surprised just how simple the setup is. are the RLR kits expensive?

The RLR chassis kit is inexpensive it is everything around the chassis that kills you ...since those pics of the chassis more bar work has been added e.g. funny car cage ...more bars for mendeola....roof bars etc...

some quick specs on the engine 78mm stroke 98mm bore roller cam RLR specs mendeola geared for 160mph...

HI DAVE

i saw the car at city performance the other day, the car is basically getting a rebuild, it was stripped back to the tube frame. I saw it race when it did a huge wheel stand, then the box blew. It appears a lot of changes are currently in progress since i saw the car at the drags last. Should be a lot better sorted next time out. Et should come down , apparently since fuel injection was put on they have not run the NOS. The mile an hour indicates the car should be quick, I wish them all the best.

Hi iox10x sounds like yuo are keen to see the car race again ...as Dave said it is finished ,but ...you are also correct ..the car is getting a total rebuild and i do hope to go faster..but each time i run the car there is something that i like to improve ...this will be an ongoing development...that will be fun for all ..except my wallet...as we chase the car.... hope to show the U.S. that us aussieveedubbers can run fast too....

Rod ran a class called a-sedan and did hold the record for a while but it is now held byRON LUMMUS at 8.4 at 173 ....ROD ran 8.96 at 156 i think....but both cars ran bigger mph ron 177 and rod approx 160

my car will run a class that is pro mod but i think you have to run at a sanctioned event in the US ...not sure of current record ....

About Rods new car ....looks great....not sure what class he will run in the U.S. but i think that he would be more interested in running the car in PRO RWD ...SPORTS COMPACT ......as the car is a different design ...current rules for sport compact are a little strange for a 4cyy with 2 power adders ...they want the cars to be a crazy weight ....too heavy and vws would not comply as would not any other properly built 4cyl drag car..

PRA rules allow fuel injection .....in pro mod and a-sedan
.....ronlummus ran electromotive ecu...and there are a few more cars running efi and mechanical injection ...it was the old rules of pro turbo that did only allow carbies ..that is why i initially ran a holly 750 because pro mod was not around yet ....

You have a good job don't you Owen?
I tell you what, with all this discussion, I am starting to get
excited about boost again.
My car needs some crash repairs, but I have an arsenal of
equipment just itching to be used!

Actually Trent, you are right about the"Pro Rear" rules.
I believe the are really Ideal for rotary based combos.
The Ashfords recently ran a 7 @ 171 with 2000 lbs
which is huge power for a 92 bore X 80 stroke
engine...but one second off the pace ( and light I think?)
That is why they don't run Sport Compact any more.
What does your car weigh?

dave totally right about sport compact designed to be a class for rotaries and street cars ....think my car should be around 1700lbs without me ...a little heavy but a lot of gear ...mendeola ..pauter ..wates system and tank for intercoolers...big turbo ...adding front brakes...
will weight next time at track and post...
