Sorry for diggin up an old thread.. but I just had to say.. WOW!!!! I've never seen so many Baywindow's in the one place! they are beautiful. I've alway's thought that the baywindow looked better than the split bus myself... more refined and sophisticated. And I rather like the small intakes on the pre-'72 bays... :thumb

I might as well tack another piccie onto the thread just for posterity... :)

Here's my '76 that I got recently...

Cheers and happy bussing y'all! :beer

for all you trivia buffs, pre 72 didn't have the little flairing on the front guards either.

Yeah... and they also had the fuel filler further forward up until and including 1972, and did not have the squarefiller door after '73...

basically this means you can pinpoint most bay's to within 3 years or so... and the '72 and '73 are instantly distinguishable.

Some not terribly useful ID points:

1968-71... low blinkers, small intakes, small low taillights, square fille doorr.
1972... low blinkers, big intakes, big tailights, square filler door.
1973... high blinkers, big intakes, big tailights, square filler door moved backwards, flaired front guards.
1974-79... high blin kers, big intakes, big tailights, filler door deleted in favour of a bare filler cap, flaired front guards.

Also I have a feeling that bumper bars were different after 1974... can anyone confirm this.

I get the feeling that pre-1970 bay's also used the old wide bolt pattern used on the splitbuses as well... 1968 bus owners, please correct me if I'm wrong... :)
