there will be some signs ... maybe ... the problem is that I liked this bus so much that I'm not sure if signs would spoil it. I didn't dare go as
dark a paint job as this one mind ... yeah paint left over ... which is good as there will be things to touch up as it goes back together.

Dean, I reckon you are on the right track not worrying about the bling, this baby is so straight you don't need the distraction.
The ride height looks perfect and the sills are likewise. You are gunna have a driveway that is the envy of many I promise. The hardest thing to do
will be make up your mind which one to to drive.Maybe you will have to use a roster.
Hard work but someone has to do it eh?

I used this place in Mt, Druitt, same as T2 to paint it. Not a 'flash' joint, but value for money. I had no real facilities for 2pac at home.
No safaris for me. I think they look great etc., but gotta leave something to do later...maybe...got more important toys to work on before that.
This week has seen the brake system replaced from rubber bits, to hoses, to cylinders, to master cylinders to machining the drums up - think the
backing plate is original ...lol...modified the adjuatable spring plates and drop plates to accommodate the rims. Nothing much to see, but given this
old bus aint been on the road in a good 15 years, everything needs doing pretty much ... still great progress being made. Might see the motor in and
CVs by Xmas, but unlikelyt to be finished for a while yet.....due to the added work needed to get the mechanicals upto sctratch for the various
engineers.
Will post pics as and when something is worth looking at.....

Year Stef, just figured 2Pac is the go, and getting it done in a booth was gonna be less hassle.
Definately going to airbrush it....too big a canvas not too.

Mate that's a seriously nice bus. Love that colour! It's very similar to the colour I'd do in a bus, if I had one that is.

No, not Wa,l Derek, but you're welcome to visit anyway.
+++Christmas Update+++
Well it's not home for Xmas ... had to get the spring plates modified to accommodate what I'm doing, so it all had to get pulled apart again. The
brakes are all now done, I think that the only original bit in there is the backing plate now. New wheel cylinders, recond drums, new linings, cables
etc., new rubber bits ... I said yes to having fries ... the master cylinder is now Bay. So kinda took longer than planned, but then the system has
not be used in over 15 years, so was seriously crap.
The motor and internal goodies need to go in the back end before the height can be set up properly, so right now it's up in the air. It should come
down a couple of inches all round.
I've gone with higher rated rubber for a bunch of reasons that is too dull to go into.
The new year will see the new rubbers and bling go on, then back home for the interior fit out.
+++my new year resolution - never to attempt to guess a finish date or cost for any future project++
Ho, Ho, Ho, thanks for looking.

Those fantastic pics have got me all sentimental, it seems like yesterday that I had my bus parked in exactly the smae spot. Except it was August
2002. Time flies when you are having fun, so you have plenty to look forward to.
That yard must have seen so many of these restos by now eh?
It is close to VW sacred ground by my reckoning
In this pic, all the lowering gear is in there but I had 215/65/14 tyres so I couldn't drop her down till I cannibalised my Caravelle for it's
wheels and tyres..DOH!

me I think Kimm is a legend, never had cause to doubt in over 10 years ... this one's no exception ... his ideas and 'reality' checks have been
fantastic all along. But if sing people's praises then in come the knockers, so let leave it at - being ded happy.
It's hard to imagine just how bad this panel was when it got started ... but shows just about anything is do-able....

I second all of that. In the words of Bill and Ted, Kimm is a "most righteous dude".

Look like I'm about a couple of weeks away for getting the Panel home...
The rubbers (buy from Andy!) are all in now. The locks and mechanisms are in, the parcel tray is back in black. The guages are in. The mirrors are on
- despite the passenger hinge being a total pain.
The best bit - though I guess people won't notice - is the fit of the doors and the overall line. Came up way better than expected, really happy with
the fit. Now the black bits are going on, its looking better all the time. Apart from the secondhand motor, don't reckon there's much on the bus
that hasn't been replaced with new ... amazing how money dissapears on things no one sees ... anyway....took a few more shots on the hoist for 'the
historical record' ... tommorrow gonna fit the new steering wheel, finish the indicators and test fit the first of the LCD screens in the dash ...

Mate the bus is looking awesome. There's probably no limit to how much you can't wait to see the bus complete, I know I'm hanging to see the
finished product.
Hope to see it in the flesh (metal) one day.
