delivered to the paint shop today..

Been a bit slack in posting photos of my progress with the splitty. Finally finshed seat belt mounts. hooked into the body work in prep for painting.Lucky for me this bus is a real gem, having only minor rust repairs carried out by previous owner. All I had to do was take any areas that had surface rust appearing back to metal ant rust convert then etchprimer.Nice to have a good bady to work with.
Just delivered it to the paint shop today so Morris (Owner of Bonville Smash Repairs) can get his hands on it. Not going to give away too many secrets about what colour it will be, so you will just have to wait.

Yeah wall, K&J Trucks. I was hopping to get a quote from Hopkins who painted your bus but they are travelling around Aus.
Here are some more pictures it took this week from the Paint Shop (Bonville Smash Repairs). This is the first coats of high fill primer. Looks more like the finished gloss paint in these pictures. Cant wait till the colour goes on........

how do ya get your wheels off dude? i know its low but what if ya get a flat, how far do ya have to jack it up?

like everyone else says mate, quality job done right! so straight its unbelievable!!!

whats going to be pushing you? i was hoping it wasnt going to be the original aircooled ah, sorry to offend the fans of original restorers... but this split is too good of a rebuild to blatently shut down with such a terribly slow and weak aircooled flat 4 pot haha

will keep an eye on this thread, keep em comin!

I rolled the inner rear guard, with hammer and a dolly, to give me enough space to clear the tyres. The wheel Just come off, with the rear adjusters set on high and the ass end jacked up high enough.I had no hope of getting the original rims on without having to un-bolt the rear suspension.......
