Not any more... My IRS Oval WAS my daily (150,000km in aboyt 7 years after I built it) now it's a (sometimes) weekend car. I have terrific memories of fixing the starter motor when racing at Willowbank; putting on a new exhaust somewhere near Cooma on the way to the snow, beating some Wagga boys in thier HQ V8s, having a wheel fall off in Umina...ahhh those were the days

Our Notch would do 15000kms a year and we scored to best insult, the other day from a few grommets.
Grommet talking to other grommet......... Shit man, that car sounds like your old computer.:lol::lol:
I gather his mate had MS DOS or Windows 95.

kopmbi was until she went ka-boom, now ratty type 3 wagon does the duties and does them well. managed to get about 900km up to Bawley point (south coast NSW) in a day, and back in a day a week later, cruising at 100kph last saturday in 30 - 40deg heat, cant believe she did that so happily

My 55 beetle is a driven 'daily' by me. I work from home, so I don't actually have to 'drive' to work everyday. She's only left me stranded once. But does all my automotive duties, unless it's 35degrees+, then I'll try to scam a car with air con... or get my girl friend to drive her CRV! ;)
