Damien,
Well done, I had a thought you had bought that purple one I had advertised for its gearbox.
I used to have a 1990 Gti 16value 2dr very similar looking to your one, have great memories.
Have fun, OL
SORRY BOUT THAT!

Hope you get to drive him too!
My PBB was at the mechanic's today.... reverse bushing (I think that's what it is anyway) needed replacing, along with something else.... will get
her back tomorrow. I'm so glad my gear problem could be fixed! I'm sorry 'lil Adolf's couldn't.

OK well i have been very slack, should have put the piccies up ages ago!
saturday the 4th of match was my b'day and this is what my girlfriend, dad, and some mates got me!
and here is Heiney at lake eildon, his first fairly long run, complated without any problem at all, axcept how dirty he got!
and he is heading into JB HI FI tomorrow for a set of 4x6's in the stock speaker provisions in the rear of the car, and also a 200RMS amp, with a
1000watt 12" pioneer sub in a sealed box.
the current headunit is a pioneer mp3 unit, that im quite happy with, but the 2 4" speakers in the dash just dont cut it! hopfully this wallet
lightening will help!
next will have to be wheels

took out best watercooled at the jamboree today! it was a great day!
and has given me a lot of motivation to get some decent wheels on there..
any suggestions? at the mo i think some bbs style like this..
but theyre only 15's whats the opinion? 15's 16's or 17's? this style somthing different? cheap is nice, and these 15's would be great, but
should i pay the big $$$ for somthing bigger and more impressive?

Congrats on the Trophy brah! Like a said today, I think 16's are plenty - they're a nice upgrade in size and the tyres won't cost the earth. It'll
be in proportion to the rest of the car too... For the wheel choice, i think you should get something a bit 'period' for the GTI. If it's too
racer/ricer, it'll look too racer/ricer instead of a smick GTI aii?

Well said Chris.
I agree with 16's being the best size, and something not 'ricey' at all. Besides, if it looks more 'standard' it'll shock people even more when
you leave 'em in the dust! :P

mmm, the second one's not too bad, but I think you can get something less ricer... Did you wanna show off the caliper and rotor more? coz I
personally prefer fatter spokes..

thanks brad i was so excited lol
im leaning towards the first pic, the original looking 15's now.. the calipers r small and gay looking, but i think the 15's would suit the best.
period looking.. then i can drive and enjoy the golf.. spent this eveing at my dads place discussing our beetles with my cousin, who is working with
the volkommen boys.. so Adolf might have a few tricks in the not too distant future, i'll pour the money into him
