Yeah a Quaife would be sweet. The GTi badge isn't on the front because it's not a GTi (and it looks smoother!). The one on the back will go as soon as I find the correct GLS replacement. I think it looks a bit posery if it's pretending to be something it's not. Like WRX badges on poverty pack Imprezas!
That said, I do want to add the period GTi stripes down the sides because it will tie in with the black wheels centres when I paint them. But I figure the stripes don't say "GTi" so that's ok with me. It goes a hell of a lot quicker than a stock Mk1 GTi anyway.....
Just needs the injection and the 5-speed now!

Those cars are very cheap over here. There rare but usually you can find one for like 500-1200 bucks.I'd love to see one with a 2.0L turbocharger out of the 06 GTI..if the new GTI does 13's stock in the 1/4 mile can you imagin what that would do?

I'd like to see the ones for 500 to 1200. Would be dungers.
Yes they are cheap but good ones are more than that.
They go for big dollars in Europe but like everything, we are still behind. Good for us really!!!!

I looked in the boot but I can't find it. There's a rumour going around that it's in the front?!?!?

funny, almost all those pics with the new bbs rims make the car look like its travelling and doing a powerslider past the bend there,
if u stare at the rear wheel, the pattern looks like its a blur motion. hehe, makes it look fast.

Hey what do ya know it was in the front after all!!
All I found in the boot was a spare....
It's ugly but effective.
