Those fans look a lot like T4 radiator cooling fans , wonder if they cool enough ?

If you use methanol (top alcohol) or top fuel, then you can get away with little or no cooling system. This is due to the high latent heat of vaporization of those types of fuel.

I don't know anything about that Porsche 908 flat 8 engine, but I do know that isn't your everyday thermo fan on top. Who knows how big that electric motor on that fan is. And who knows what sort of aerodynamics they used to push air in at the top and suck it out at the bottom (or the other way around)? That car goes very very fast, so you can use the air speed to your advantage. You won't get the same luxury in a motorkana style event.
