UPDATE: WELDING.
theres nothing worse than a big fat hole in your bus, and that's exactly what i had. in the nastiest spot possible... top rear quarter, right on the
most savage curves. this called for some serious welding. so at 8 30 saturday morning i popped along to Volkshaven (the only people i go to for work
on my car that i cant do myself) to get it fixed. cold, windy, and pourng down rain, the boys were undeterred, and got to work straightaway.

oh my god, i can see my house through that hole!
since it was in such a tricky place, Dunga (my man!) had to cut several times in order to find out just how severe the cancer had spread. Isn't he
charming at 8 30 in the morning?
the poor, poor donor bus... ahh well, you should see the other guy!
It was at this stage that a semi disaster struck... we ran out of gas! Dunga manged to patch it up as best as he could, so poor ColumBUS has been
sitting in the driveway with hs ass under shelter. tomorrow i'm back at the shop and getting the rest welded, but here is what it looks like now.
next edition we of Send in the Lowns we will see the welding finished, insulation install finished, and the carpeting and bed install begins! stay

Bond: I plan to carpet the entire interior with a combination of grey and anthracite marine carpet. The insulation is to deaden engine and road noise
as much as possible, it gets mighty loud in an empty panelvan! Sound system will be done soon enough, that is when i can afford/find some speakers.
i will post some pictures of the materials i've used to insulate the bus ie glue and cotton, as they are both fantastic and very easy to use.

UPDATE: INSULATION is 99% complete!
only leaving one piece out, and thats because my welding hasnt been completed yet, will leave that out until saturday to be on the safe side.

Once again, BOOCH DAWG accompanied me and helped me out, on the condition that i put his car on the forum...
So i present to you, BOOCH DAWG and his amazingly stock ralliart Magna. BOOCH DAWG is really cool.
the rest of the insulation will be completed when the door is replaced with my new white door, which will be painted. carpeting shall commence, and
the bed is being made as we speak.

pete - yes, the glue is flammable, but its not about to catch alight with a cigarette spark and set my car ablaze in seconds. If my car gets hot
enough to set that glue on fire, chances are there is no chance of saving the car anyway. i did look at that before i started the work, and found that
this was the best option.
If my car does go up in flames because of the glue, i'll buy you a beer :beer

once again its another late night at the factory, but instead of laying down insulation, im laying down the carpet! woot!
Kevo - its not a joint, just the average death stick.
the carpet im using costs about $20 per linial metre, is very easy to work with, strong, and easy to clean. im using a combination of anthracite and
grey... will post piccies asap
