If you are gonna stick with that worn out look that we talked about the other night, the alloy arms would not be a good way to go.... They widen the track too much for the rims that you are wanting to run.... Just remember... The rims I have under my Square (7.5x17) are about as big as you can go under stock bug guards.... And even they you wont be able to go as low as I am with my car as the big rims are real close to the edge of the guard!

I can't remember off the top of my scull (no hair!), but I think theyare around 45-47 or there abouts!.... but on my Squareback they are very close to the springplate and the outer guard lip and I know that they sit about the same on the outer guard lip on an early bug guard.... The tyre I have on the rear is about as fat as I can get under there too....

The one place you may have problems is the front Anthony.... Your tyres will more than likely hit the struts and outer lip of the guard (You may need to roll the lip under a little).... You should ask Kurt at VDub Repairs and Spares in Freo about it.... He's got 18's under stock LBug guards.... He made up new front struts and I think he used Golf coils or some such....

Thats ok jerry can get more of them .

This is the adapter plate & fly wheel I made to fit the Suabru turbo motor in the bug .I think all of the gang over here have these now for there conversion .

I need soem realy thick torsion bars , like the sway away units .any one have some ?

I will make a trolly to sit the bug on with wheels so I can move the lot around & get it off the ground , makes it easy to work on .

Spripping down the front cuts Saturday ( to day ) another late night in the shed .Working on others race cars , making a frame so I can sit the WRX front cut on .
