I've been looking at Mags all day for the car.
I found a real sweet looking set but somehow I can't see a 20 inch Mag fitting.. But I will be measuring to see if a (Get this for a size..) 666 mm
Dia rims & tyres (225 - 35 - 20)
One other option is to have Billet Mags made. Keith 4 Wheels put me onto this option & the cost wasn't as high as you would think.. (If the quoted
ball park figure he gave me was correct.) On the up side of doing it this way i get to keep the VW stud pattern, saving on buying new front brakes &
paying the extra $100 for the COR's IRS rear brakes.
I was told these billet Mags can be looked at online but the website he wrote on the back of a Bizcard is wrong..
This is what he wrote down for me to look at..
INTRO WHEELS.COM.AU
Does this ring any bells to somebody?

They are a weee bit more expensive then I was quoted.. :P
Somehow I think anybody forking out that kind of money to somebody with Zero Ebay points doesn't live in the real world..
Still don't think a 20 inch Mag will fit.. :cry

As someone else brought it up, I build those Knight Rider kits (16 HI red LEDS) for bikes and cars. Should see traffic move out of the way of my

Thanks to Mick I now have the Magazine article of the Paragon SP1 :bounce
If this car is a rare as I have been lead to believe it is I want to know at what point does a car like this lose value?
I have been told it is the only one.. But it doesn't have the VW motor or the wheels that are on the car in the Magazine article so I think there is
likely to be at least one more.
What do you feel should remain STD & what do you think is acceptable to change.
I have planned to change the following.
-Brakes
-Wheels
-Interior
-Minor internal body mods (Side Pods don't currently duct air to carbies.)
-Motor
-New paint (Of coarse)
I was going to add a wing & do other body shell mods but in light of the information you guys have found I will not touch it at all.
But I think it would still look good with a Lambo Wing on it..

Try to contact the builders by the address of the company in the article, if that's no good, try the phone book for their names. They should know
how many bodies were completed.
As far as modding it goes, I reckon slam it, drill it, re-mould it, shave it, smooth it, cut stuff off it, bolt stuff onto it and colour it if you
want. It s a kit car after all, it's meant to be yours and as individual as you choose to make it. Don't think about valuing it, think about
driving it just the way you want it, and loving it!:thumb
IMHO, I think a wing similar to the new model Esprit would look cool.

Yes it has to have a wing...
I like the side skirts on the modern Esprit also..
Got new master cylinder & fluid bottle today from Volks Conversions & had a long chat with John about Kit cars in general. Great guy with alot of
information...
Got stuffed around by this rude jerk @ Ipswich Carburettors when trying to find the idle jet... Still looking...
Did find a set of Mags I like... Just got to measure the offset...
The car will be running 20 inch Mags with 25 series rubber...After finding out these will have the exact same dia as the current wheels, not even the
dark lord :vader can stop me getting a set of them now..

25 series rubber! I hope your spine is in good nick, cause you're going to be feeling every grain of sand on the road !!!
It's going to look like a WEAPON! I'm working nights for the 4th week in a row, and still 2 more to go , but I really want to see this car! Have you got it at your place now?
I think the full body kit from the S350 above would look supreme, but would probably cost a few $$$, even copied!

No it's still @ Jimboomba.
Got a wedding to go to tomorrow so no work on the car this weekend.
I'm hoping to get the brakes working & the engine running better next weekend so I can start thinking about getting it home..
Failing that I'm happy to take you to Jimboomba for a look..

What are the EA71 engines like?
Can you get performance parts for them?
Any ideas on who is the local (Brisbane) Subaru Guy/Girl?

Project Update...
I finally found a replacement Idle jet for the Carb's.. I had to drill a couple of extra holes into it but so far all
looks good.
Engine has stopped popping so the valves have settle back in. After balancing the Carbs & adjusting the fuel mix the engine is happy to idle at 700
RPM but I have set it to 800 to be safe.
Started work on the brakes but while trying to fit the new Mastee cylinder I snapped the main brake line for the rear end... So now I'm going to have
to take it to a professional.. :cry
I have picked up a wing similar to the one in the photo above so I'm going to go back out tomorrow & see if it looks OK or not..
Get this for a price differance...
One Mag wheel shop in Brownsplains quoted me $3800 more for the same Mags I have been quoted on down at the gold Coast.. Now how RUDE is that?

I have to admit I was worried after he told me the price.
I was thinking the place down the Gold Coast had quote for a Pair & not a Set.. But a 3rd places at Moss St quoted $400 more then the Gold Coast so
I'm guessing the Brownsplains Shop guy had just come back from lunch..:beer or had been using the Herbal Sigs..

Update with Wing
The Wing has been installed.
Took it for a drive up the block today.. No Foot brakes ONLY a hand brake.. Lucky it is in the bush & there are no cars driving around..
I don't think this engine is going to make the cut.. Seems a bit under powered. But it maybe just in need of a good tune up.. I'll wait till the
brakes are installed & take it for a bit of a drive somewhere..

Wing looks wicked, but if you could flatten it out a bit, I think it would suit the bodyline better.
I can't wait to see this thing in person. Must get off these graveyard shifts!:duh
Just think what taking 2 inches out of the ride height and the BIG wheels will do to the stance! I think that maybe the chrome trims may have to go
then, as they may detract from the BIG wheel/ULTRA low profile tyre look! Only my opinion though!
Loving it!
Cheers,

I have managed to track down one of the designers of the Paragon & he has confirmed my car is in fact the Only Car they ever made.
There was a big fall out with the Company that was going to make this car.
The moulds where sold & destroyed :cussing
So I truely do have a 1 of a kind car.. :thumb
