GOODNESS GRACIOUS! is there any beetle left?

I guess you're raising the suspension mounts at the same time then. Nothing like an extreme makeover eh?:duh

Hmmmm that looks sensational, I wish I had the foresight to be a bit more daring. Oh and sorry I just remembered that I forgot to get you the front end weight, I'll try and remember on the weekend.

Question for you, by moving the box that far forward, what's going to happen to your CV's?

I'm only going off the photo's but the angle that they will be on, will be past there normal range of motion....

Kudo's for thinking of the L300 arrangement:tu:

Cheers

A common problem on lowered CV equipped VW's is the CV/Axle set-up becomes almost flat and level.... This presents a massive weak spot in the CV cages.... They are designed to run at an angle.... So fitting the trans axle so far forward would go a long way to lessen that potential area of failure....

flintstone the cv,s cages will be clearanced ,but the angle wont be as extreme as some of the off roaders.
stephen did you have a talk to your engineer.
the L300 front will be narrowed 80mm next week.a Lotus clubman replica front end would of been nice I do have access to a all alloy double wishbone front out of a nsx but $$$$$$$$$$.
