I once paid a deposit on a split panel to a guy on the Gold Coast, when i arranged to pick he informed me that he had sold it, when i asked him to
depsoit the moneyin my account or send me a cheque, he said no he was keeping my deposit...eventually he gave it back, but was a real prick about it.
He is no longer in business...

Everything happens for a reason.
We have a positive saying around our house that everything works out in the end. I really dont know what it means exactly but somehow we always land
on our feet.
Firstly I want to say thanks for everyone offers and support. You've been great. Dan, I love your car but that what it is... your car. Dont sell it
mate, try hard to hang onto it. I know that a house is important but you've had it for such a long time.
I also put the mayday out to a few other friends and looks like I have come up trumps. I am going to look at a late 54, fresh silver paint , just
needs a few little touch ups, really straight and has lots of spares. The funny thing is the price is right... come on down.
The guy also has a really good set of heads and brand new BRM's still in the box for sale also. It is a project that he just cant finish.
So Bill, thanks wanker... you have acutally done me a favour and I really dont think you'll get any more than the agreed price. I had lots of offers
of complete cars, pans, bodies, I'm agreeing with Pete Wood, there really not that rare. Just desirable.
Greg, will call you today, do you want to come and have a look tomorrow night after work?

Sounds cool T54, glad you've found something so good, so quick. Dunno about tomorrow night I should be working, under the pump with my "on the
side" work so I should be trying to get that done. Never know though, will see how I'm going. Weekend aint looking much better, pretty much
stuffed both days. Give me a call though.
Find out some details on those heads too, depending on how things go they could be a good option for me.
Right though, 54's aren't that rare, just less common than 70's bugs. They are out there you just have to look.
Cheers
