But seriously. Sez went as a complete novice and was driving quite well by the end of the day. The car lived to fight another day with only a minor
drama with one wheel lug being too long. Again can't thank Greg and Sam for pitching in an helping fix it.
There were three buggies at the event, Sam owning the green car, which was specially built for motorkhana/khanacross with turning brakes, irs and a
decent 1776. Sam and his dad, Dave have been racing motorkhanas for years now and are both stunning drivers who love their VWs. I'm fairly certain
Sam won the event outright.
Here are a few pics. The first are the 3 buggies together. Seeing 3 buggies at any small event these days is amazing so we had to take some pics. The
second is of Sam in full flight. Note the inside front wheel several inches off the ground!!! The last is a pic of Greg's beetle. A very tidy 1500
with a 1600 twinport, webers and a tasty exhaust note.
So who's up for the next one then?

I honestly would of filled up a pot plant with all that dirt from my filters...i got a little carried away towards the end =) and cant wait until next
one.

Good to see the photos of my buggy up, thanks for that.
I'll defintly be at the next one as i'm going to be the director.
As for the wheel being off the ground, thats about a quarter of the last time we went out, will post some photos soon.
Might even get the photos of the Kombi at the photo shoot for a new ABC program (slight plug, HAHAHA)

Looks like fun - too far for me unfortunately. If I break something the walk is too far and the wife wont be up for a 12 hour Sunday afternoon drive
to come and get me.
Can you describe how the events run, are judged and what the lay out of the course is? Is not just hooning around the paddock is it. There is some
purpose to it all eh? As you can see I've never been to one and I doubt there will be one here in Dubbo anytime soon.

still waiting to receive club membership...so not looking good. also had some reli's come up from melb and suppose to b havin a bday on sat (found
out yesterday), i will probably get my ass kicked if i miss it.

not a bad day today. 3 dubs there but only 2 competing. the first pic is Greg's beetle. he and his son John joined the club after checking out the
last event. they entered in a fwd celica twincam. i'd say they were very close to the fastest there, which is not bad for straight out of the box,
but then fwd are good for motorkhana if you can master the handbrake. aside of that, myself and the green buggy both raced, this time with David,
Sam's dad driving the green buggy. sadly an ignition failure signalled the end of the race for it, but in good spirits, David broke out his XR6 tow
car and finished the event in that.
