I cant imagine how i would feel if someone did that to edith or blue belle....i think i'd just sit, cry, get then get profoundly drunk.....

OK.. I know stupid idiots steal cars....

but the jail sentence [if caught] should be double if the car is burnt out...

but I suppose thats why they burn them... ??
no finger prints etc...

Can be No other explanation...

there is no way i could burn a car....
but how anyone could burn a restored car..??

I've been locking My gates lately, with a padlock..
just in case someone else likes My car...
I'll have to fit an alarm asap...
I'm a bit too relaxed when parking when shopping...
locally.. car is never locked ..
68 model didn't have a steering lock either...

I know there is nothing anyone can say to the Owner of this beautifully restored beetle....
to make them feel better....

it makes Me feel sick to think that this has happened...

Best Wishes

Lee

Man - that is sad!

I had a small input to that car.
They were my bumpers i gave to Steve when he owned that car a few years ago.
I thought that cars was just a well done driver.

Not fair.

Condolences to the owner. :(

My heart goes out the owner of that bettle.
I had the same thing to one of my cars about 8 years ago. I had an old Toyota TA22 restored with beautiful custom interior and really nice engine.
I got the call that it was found, stripped and burnt out. I went and had a look and it brought tears to my eyes to see it.
What they hadn't stipped they burnt and smashed up.
It was heart breaking to see.

That's just terrible.. steal someone's vehicle is one thing, stealing it and burning it is another. Cut off the arms of the offender(s) at the elbows and give em crabs I say.

So sorry to see such a terrible end to such a gorgeous bug. I do know how shitty it feels to have it happen- 2 Years ago my car got stolen & trashed before they burnt it. Hope luck gets a bit better for you.Hope the f***wits involved get what they deserve.
