Thanks for the advice thus far guys. I guess it will kinda be a bit of a "junkyard turbo" build up. As I said I'm happy to invest $ in parts which I can use on a latter bigger engine.....also I won't cut corners on getting the rest of the car sorted (ie. will discuss g'box in detail when the time comes, chassis bracing, new fuel lines (and return), brakes (discs up front, type III rear).

I am looking forward to seeing what sort of combination I can come up with and more importantly see what sort of numbers it can make on the track!

Alright - its starting to get a little more 'street cred' with the narrowed beam. Dual circuit m/c is installed.

So far I have the following suggestions for turbo/efi (thanks flinstones):
Use a turbo off a VL or an FJ20/SR20 or somthing similar that has an internal wastegate (TO3) with a .63 rear or there abouts , get an XF throttle body, they're cheap as.
Get a liberty water to air intercooler and some series 4 13B turbo injectors, and that will get you a good start.

I've had a bit of a look into it already, are there any other ideas?
I would like to invest in an ignition system that I could keep on a bigger engine some day - I have a brand new mallory non vac advance dizzy but I'd be happy to sell it to get something more suitable with EFI etc? Forgive my ignorance, I am learning (slowly).

Cheers
Alan
