Well i have decided to make a Schwimminwagen replica for the b each. Obviously it will not float but she will be wearing war camoflauge colours and will have oars, no outboard motor, pick axe etc. Do not have an engine yet but am sorting it out. Will be new posts every weekend to every second weekend so keep looking for updates. Thanks,

I'm also after a wrecked bug for parts etc in northern tasmania. U2u me with details or U2U me for my number. Cheers will

Ok current status: Its been near 12 months since i got it and work has been slow but it is coming along ok. Fiberglassing is nearly finished, did mudguards again, all back area, filled in gapping hole and am starting to get ready to rip the body off and do underneath it.

Ok price check so far:

Purchase price: $20
Trailer hire: $15.
Fiberglass resin: $22.50 for two litres.
Hardner: $5 for 100ml bottle,
Fiberglass sheets: Free.

Now mechanicals:

Today i picked up anothe floorpan of a 65 Beetle for $220, (ex Cashy car,)it included:
Perfect floor, gearbox, front suspension, steering collum and box, two immac highback seats outta a Celica fitted to vw frames, chrome handbrake lever, odds and ends oh and lowered front suspension!!!
This will be the floor that will be the buggy, and im currently stripping it and getting ready to paint it HOWEVER a mate has asked us to build him a baja so the manx has taken a back seat.... AGAIN while we do that. Pics will be up this week sometime, im currently away.

Anyway the suspension is for sale with another floor if any1 is interested
