good work, its a good feeling to get a car running easily and taking it for a maiden spin. I also took my 55 oval for its first drive on the weekend, started it a while a go but had a few fuel leaks, all good and fixed now, and drives pretty well for a car thats been sitting for 3 years, brakes and clutch are good, box is a little noisy, but should be a good driver!

keep us updated!!!

Nah, no new pics yet Adam. It is much the same as the previous pics, maybe a little dirtier?

As for the mirrors. I will get back to you on those... i have something a little different in mind for the mirror set up. If that doesn't work out, I will let you know. Shout out when your planning on heading down.

Should also mention... she doesn't drip oil. It has been sitting in the same spot since I had it, not a drop underneath her! (yes it has oil in it)

A tiny update. Painted the wheels to match the body over the weekend, it looks a lot tidier. I Also chucked the venetians on and gave half of the type 3 a polish. The paint is a lot better than what I thought.

We are waiting on some tyres to come in, once they arrive we will be chucking the portawalls on and lowering it. After that only a couple of little things will be done. I have a motash for the bonnet and will need to get some new carpet and some sounds.

Work has also started on restoring an old roof rack.

Pics up soon.

Just letting you know.. cause i forgot..
When lowering the back, and putting it all back together.. start the bolts for the spring plate before getting the torsion arm back onto the ledge. I discovered this the hard way after trying to get the bolts back in afterwards.. :jesus
I had to use a longer bolt to pull it in, then put the stock bolts back in after.

Yeah, I am pretty happy with it. It has scrubbed up. I do have the white walls already so they will be going on once the new tyres arrive. Dress trims are on the way also. I am just itching to slam it, I don't want to do it until I am happy with the wheels though.

Yeah and how low you go depends on your tyres.. i'm 2 splines down on the front, and i'm getting rubbing at full lock with the 165's..

Yup, got 145s on order. I was going 135s.. I am going to get it as low as possible... aiming for avwboys ride height.

Hehe yeah, i wanted to go really low, but Hobart has alot of steep driveways and dodgy speedbumps, so being a daily driver i wanted some comfort (and not do too much damage to the car!!)
