Let me tell you, the guy on the F3 Friday that was not going to let this kombi in front of him, even if that meant killing us both, was in his 60's. Not a pimple faced P plater.

Then there is the flipside of that... the 60 year old coots driving round in V8 Mercs doing 60 on the highways and freeways. Just as much a danger if ya ask me... :puke

Just for the record, I overtook some senior fart in a late model Mercedes on the Princes Highway near Kiam the other night.... and I was going UPHILL in the Kombi! :duh

We'll have to get some of these old farts out of the Mercs and back into something which will do more than 60 km on the highways! I wonder if they'll swap me for a nice airconditioned Notch. Just glad I left it at home this time with the temps at the weekend.:grind:

Just thinking back a few years, I was doing the trip from Pitt Town to Tamworth in 4 hours 10 mins in a Notch in 1969-73. It still takes the same time in a Ford, Commodore or whatever breed we are driving and the same amount of fuel all these years later. Funny how things haven't progressed!:?:

yeah guys ill tell you the new cops computers work on the number plates, i got pulled over driving 10kms to the nearest blueslip garage. the cop was drivng the other way and as soon as he was beside me he slammed on his brakes and turned around very quickly but i was already pulled over and out of the car when he got up to me lol. i had my old blueslip and a note saying that i was going do to the blueslip and the time i was leaving and saying that i was going in the most direct route and the date etc with my sig on the bottom . and he was shocked " your on the ball , i said yeah wouldnt want to break the law". there was nothing he could do .

So in nsw never drive your car past hwy patrol with out rego , they will catch you . next thing will be satilite's booking us for speeding. something to look forward to :(

if you get done and your in the right , fight it. thats what the courts are for.
cheers brenton

lost my best mate due to no seatbelt and not confirmed but probably drunk, driving home from the cricket club. Hit a tree doing 80 in his ute. Your argument is just as bad as saying you got done for bald tyres. Hell yeah the fine hurts, that's what it's meant to do.
