my 59 was bought up from VIC by TNT, no issues, arrived the day and time they said, delivered to my door....easy!
The oval I went a picked up, if you can be f*cked, get a 4wd and a trailer and road trip it....that was easy too!
We'll have to go on a cruise to harry's or something when you get it!
My oval goes to Pete tomorrow for some minor work, roady, rego then slam job!!!(hopefully all goes to plan)

he's still got it, just got some minor wiring issues that needed redoing, should be regoed Thursday or Friday, then back to him for a week or so to
redo some of the susp and steering components, narrowed beam and slammed!

Although... I will be looking at selling this car in a few months due to a change in circumstances!  [Need a ute]
This is what it looks like now:
The cars paint is in great condition, and was resprayed about 3 years ago, and the 1200 was apparently recon about 4 years ago by 'Beetle Exchange'
- runs and drives very very well (although a little bumpy ).
All bumpers / chrome work / EMPI zoom pipe (exhaust) is either new or in great condition also...
Since I have taken ownership, a few things that I have / Custom Off Road have completed on the old girl:
- Fitted new K/L front beam with adjusters
- Rebuilt rear end to a more reasonable ride height, new spring plates etc.
- All four tyres are brand new (135's front, and 165's rear)
- American spec tail lights
- EMPI front and rear gravel guards (not shown in pics)
- EMPI chrome 'bear claws' (not shown in pics)
- EMPI short shift kit
- HASSIA Front foglight
- Flat Four stainless steel roof rack
...and lots of detailing!
The interior has been retrimed at some stage, but could do with a little more attention.
No idea what it is worth?

You would be lucky to find a 60's bug registered and roadworthy for $2k. And a bug in this condition? NO chance.
I'm with the last post $4 to 5 grands worth sitting there.
