I havent been to fair trade department. I did contact HIA but it seemed like a bureaucratic nightmare, I chose to fight the battle in public
instead.
Since my last rant I had a confrontation on site. The building manager was down doing a QA report. I just marched in there and made a lot of noise
bascially. Seems to have done the trick. Starting to get happy about my house now. They were working at 6pm when I drove past on monday, though
yesterday it doesnt appear much happened.
They have taken the fencing down and fixed up most of the concrete issues. The skirting board was taken off the foyer and the gap filled. The picasso
patio has been fixed up, looking good now. Still haven’t finished the garage, its a work in progress. The skirting has been pulled off and the edges
have been chipped up to provide a bit of a key for a resin coating.
They have started digging up the back yard and fixing the excavations. Its only 1/2 done but its a massive improvement having just a 600mm high dirt
wall as opposed to the 1100 it was before. Doesnt sound like much but it is a huge difference. It looks heaps better. There's a lot of rock in there.
Doesnt look like an easy job.
It appears as though they have fixed the gyprock to the wall properly.
The only job they dont seem to have worked on is moving the downpipe, replacing the guttering and replacing the brickwork that it went through. Then
they just need to repaint pretty much the whole house again once they attach the skirting boards back on.
If only they had of listened in the first place. It would be finished by now.
