another quick bump
and a slight price drop on the '55's original sale prices
'55 complete as pictured in first post - $8000 still slightly negotiable
and again, the price can be reduced in price by removing certain items, like wheels etc
this car is on ebay aswell for anyone interested!

Ok, I have taken a deposit on the '59, so it is sold, pending payment of course.
But the oval is still up for grabs.

Just to let all of those people who were interested in the oval know, the car has reached its reserve on ebay and will be selling via ebay. It is
being sold pretty much bare on ebay, but the suspension stays obviously. So some of the bits and pieces may be up for grabs later in the week like the
BRM's, rack, visor, venetian etc, depending on what I decide to do and what I will part with.

'59 is sold and gone to a good home down the Gold Coast.
'55 has been sold via ebay, now pending payment.
Thanks for all the interest, some parts off the '55 will soon be up for grabs on here, depending on wether or not the winning bidder wants any of it.

Ok, well the ebay winning bidder doesn't seem to exist, zero feedback, fake name and no contact, so the 55 is back up for grabs at the prices already
listed, however I'm still pretty negotiable!
It will be relisted on ebay as of Monday, however I'm happy to sell it prior to then through here for anyone keen.
Thanks
Michael

I'd be interested if i had the cash, well i am interested, but have no cash.
I also think it may be a bit of a bad time to sell stuff as no body has cash atm, paying off credit cards from christmas etc.
Every business you talk to is dead atm, struggling to survive.
A little advice would be (if possible) keep it for a while, maybe around april time try again.
Interest rate gone up too, im paying $50 a week more due to the last few interest rate rises.

My business isn't dead....maybe its a southern thing....I know a good way around avoiding the interest rate hikes, go fixed for 3-5 years, not an
issue then...until it becomes unfixed
People have cash, it had 85 watchers on ebay and 5 serious bidders, I guess they'll have to have another go and if anyone with 0 feedback bids this
time, I'm getting their bids revoked!
Otherwise, it can sit under a cover for a few months and I'll try again around when you suggest.

I'm not even thinking about selling bits off it until the car is gone minus those bits.....and the BRM's will be sold with the tyres, not stripping
them off!

How about without the wheelnuts? Or maybe take the paint off the
rims, how much then? What about if you just let the tyres down, how
much to ship to Darwin?

Dumone, PM sent, I'm trying to accomodate your needs, and am happy to oblige within regards to helping prior to relisting it on eGay as I like your
idea of what you plan to do with it....something I would have liked to do. So have a read and give me a call to discuss.

many......2000+ thread views, someone must want this car!

Ok, the oval is now relsited back on ebay, the starting bid is lower, as is the reserve price, its a little bit under what I want, but I'd like the
car gone prior to the rego being up for renewal in April! Good luck!

Best of luck with the sale Michael - it is a nice solid car with heaps of character.....like any car more than 40 years old, one can't expect
perfection but all the "hard to repair areas" like the front wheel well, both a- and b-pillars, all roof gutters etc are really nice. I'm sure it
would make a great addition to someone's stable!

Thanks for that Alan, I should have added that if anyone wanted a 2nd opinion from an unbiased person and someone in the know to ask you, especially
seeing as you have had a look by yourself for a 3rd independant party!

the oval now has just over 1 day left on ebay....however its not at its reserve yet, which I don't understand, it was $1000+ more than it currently
is last time around and with the same amount of sticky beaks watching it.....hopefully it sells this time!

well another ebay failure, won't be trying that again, what a waste of time and money x2.
92 people watching, 90 of which were just being nosey parkers I'd imagine....sigh, if only the fake bidder from last time didn't bid, it would have
fetched a decent amount....gee I'd love to be able to find out who it was!!!!
anyway, still on the market.....$5500 gets you the oval with nothing on it, a bare, stock, running oval, still with all the lowering and narrowed beam
etc though and 5 weeks rego for a QLD'er(no RWC though, and not negotiable)......come get it!

Ah ... just realised that my last post could be taken the wrong way. I wasn't trying to be rude, it's just that not knowing what it'll take to make
the 55 road worthy is a bit tough for a potential buyer. It would be helpful knowing what sort of work and money over and beyond the initial $5,500
it'll take to make it road worthy is really what I was asking.
Sorry if it came over all wrong. I understand that it's been a frustrating process for you, but I think just stating that you're not prepared to get
a RWC - (and not explaining why) - could send the wrong message.
Hope you get the result your after. Lots of luck. |

To answer your first question, I've quoted myself from page 1, and I think I explained myself well back then.

As a seller its harder to get an RWC for a car like this(mainly because of the lowering), but once you own the car most places will
probably do one because they know you are the new owner and won't come back to them when something goes wrong, but being a seller they won't do it
based on the fact that they have no idea who the buyer is and if they'll come back to have a go at them for doing the RWC in the first place....if
that makes sense?
Pete at Custom Off Road/Custom Vee Dub would probably look after you if you bought it, you'd probably have to wind the adjusters up front an
rear just for his piece of mind, maybe fix the oil leak in the box and patch up the split in the side of the hood. Being that it will only be
a rego transfer(as you are in QLD) and there won't be a need for an inspection as if you were going for new rego, no one needs to see the car and
it'd be quite an easy process!
|
and realistically, those things in bold are about all you'd need to get an RWC, but I don't know how tough your RWC guy is!
Where are you located? Are you interested in the vehicle?
hmmmmm, recently joined, 2 posts(only in my thread too), no profile info, reminds of a recently joined, zero feedback, non paying ebayer, you
wouldn't happen to be waran10000 as an alias on ebay would you?
