Craig WILL be racing this year.
If not in the red car, he has other VW products that need to support the event.
Unless he has broken legs or some other reasonable excuse that can be arranged.

I'll definitely be racing this year...Still a maybe for Warwick though.
It just depends on my Golf Tournament schedule!

I'm even putting on the rego sticker next week!

That'll be the 1st time in 9 years that my bug has had a current rego sticker on the windscreen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Haven't got a copy of the splits but as I recall it your record first split was 11.8 mine 12.5, this was certainly one of our better for the day.

The new record and recored run for Natan 51.51, my best run 51.62 and Christine's 53.34. Christine was a little frustrated by having 2 of her latter runs in pooring rain where you could have run around the track faster if you could manage to stand up on the beginning section.

I came in fairly hot and didn't find the corner to have the grip levels I expected. Due to the camera angle it doesn't look that bad but the only thing keeping me from looping right around is the favourable camber, but this drops away as you progress through the corner, so despite my best efforts I had to get off the gas to get the car back under me. I think there may even be a quick left foot stab of the brake peddle. Then flat on the accelerator no fanning of the clutch. I have got a tall first gear but it would have been a bloddy big rev to shift back. The straights are second to third.

Nathan I don't no about sounding better but it certainly is louder. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Congrats again, I'm looking forward to many more events split by bugger all.

Damo your onto it, we currently have issues with getting power to the ground, primarily on tight tracks such as this. We have recenlty increased the torque and power and like most things you do, this created another problems. Having a track thats a little greasey essentuates this problem. We had similar issues whem we changed from 60 to 50 series tyres. I do though have some changes in mind to overcome this.

YAY!! i thought so. (as i said it was easier to tell trackside) Mabe dropped a wheel onto the painted edge or mud from where i stood?

yes overpowering. i had a ball at the rain soaked oran park with the 1776.......the hellVWrx notch scared the life out of me in the wet at Raleigh tho........uncontrolable power , or horses for courses

very impressive power there Heath,

Nice to speak to both you, Christene and Nathan THANX........as usual i reccomend everyone making the effort to go see these guys when they are close enough to make it for a Sunday drive adventure.

i am going to post up a vid of one of the other non VW entrants simply to make it clear just how hard these VW freaks have their beetles going, cornering and stopping

well done to all

Well done Nathan.

That was a good clean looking run. Both car and driver look very well behaved! I expected more rally-style heroics!

I'm not sure which car sounds the best, I know it isn't the datto.
