its good when something goes right

Just thought I'd share, its good when something finally goes right.
After trying to fix what should have been a relatively easy fix of a fuel leak at the filler tube, the car has been off the road not running for a couple of weeks, after the usual story for me of a small job turning into a major problem. But anyways, today spent trying to fix what I thought was fuel blockage, turns out to be just a crimped fuel line not letting enough fuel through. Bit of extra line and new filter, and yay its running again.

Its nice for a change when I can actually take my car from not running to running - usually I seem to stuff it up.

So enough of a blab for me, next step new interior....open for recommendations on who can do me a good job.?

Hey mate, sorry to be late to the party, but any clues as to how you got a hood crest to fit nicely on a late bonnet?

the early crest is made to fit by shortening the bonnet trim a little, flattening off the top of the crest (I think there was another small curved piece at the top from memory?) and then some very small holes, to mount it through the bonnet, in the same way it would on an early car.

I know its not standard, but I like it, and I like the early crest. I like this car to be the way I want it, and a little individual.

Unfortunately, getting married soon, and with one thing and another I think I'm not going to be able to keep it. So I am open to serious offers. This car has cost a fortune already, and I know there is a little bit to go, but....

I've since bought a set of red and black leather recaros, with matching rear seats which I was going to to have made to fit.
Stay tuned, and I'll post more soon on the current state of the car and the sale.
