Daimo...OK point taken...2 old dogs will be there(Houndog & its master) & maybe 3 with Peter Keegan as he normally
helps Fabian.I only hope that Houndog survives the dog fight at Willowbank 8/9 August,2009 as it is fielded against
35 V8s,3 of them are either blown, nos'd or turboed...the sticker on the rear of my car reads"IF YOU CAN READ THIS
YOU ARE DRIVING A BLOWN V8"...

nah, only one old houndog, no offence intended......
can't wait to see it run Ross, last time i heard it i was just a small kid sitting amongst all the others at a Valla spectacular can you even imagine
the influence a potently powerful, extraordinarily loud, RED and sign written race beetle, that the adults spoke about being world famous, can do to a
young boy ...........maybe i will introduce you to my missus, as
the "blame" for my fasicination with fast loud VW's , i'll tell
you when to duck ..........it's in the blood tho, my 18 month
old daughter played in my race car for half an hour today, insisting on being strapped down in the 6 point harness over and over again.
i'm pretty sure i can go head to head in the grey stakes with Keegan too.......so might be old dogs a plenty
we ARE the lucky ones
..........might do a dash up to watch at Willobank on the Sunday too

If you want to be notified of when they have an event just email them to put you on the list.
I received this email today from them.
Hi All,
We tried very hard, but unfortunately, we have been unable to re-schedule our July meet.
Regulations require us to hold a cancelled meet within 4 weeks of original date, and due to time restrictions in obtaining new approvals from Gunnedah
Council and ANDRA, it could not be arranged. We also did not want to clash with Willowbank on 7,8,9 August, as many of our club members and volunteers
will be at Willowbank.
Good news......19 & 20 September is our next date, and it looks like we may have another meet on 31 Oct/1 November - before it gets too hot.
Once again, sorry about the July meet, and we really do appreciate your support.
Let's keep country drag racing alive.
Regards
TDRA Inc.

Daimo...rerunning this car is like returning from a time warp, seeing all you youngens now grown up with children.
I am certainly looking forward to seeing all the older faces & I guess a huge volume of them at Warwick.
The first spectacular was at Valery at the autocross track & the cars were displayed on a dirt track.
The year was 1984.A year or so later we travelled up from Valla to this venue some guys did some dirt racing &
the old dog did some launches & pace around the go kart track there.Drag slicks on bends certainly gave me
a bigger handful than my first week's pay..Regards & thanks for the response..Ross.
