what donk u got under the hood

Well , the Victa 160cc 2-stroke is pissing people off who drive behind my bus because of the 'excess' smoke. So I think I'll drop the briggs and straton 6hp big block out of the rider mower tmura. I think I can hear banjo's playin next door.:alien

jaks 90 hp is more than enough to stick it up a lot of the porsches, so I would like to watch something with 50% more power than that have a go.

130 is a serious peice of cake. Lets hope this 2180 sees its way to the next dyno day so we can see what 140-150 looks like. Its all so easy to talk the talk.

Yeh & My new motor would be 100 at the wheels & maybe a little more. I reckon if I had Keiths motor (2387cc) on the track that I would not be able to keep it on the black stuff, it's that quick, & that was an untuned 120hp @ the wheels!
I've also driven it again in dieters sorted superbug & it breaks traction just booting it in second gear.

This is my new motor.2027cc engine
73mm hand welded crank
CB Perf. chevy journaled Chromoly H-beam race rods (5.7 inch)
94mm 'b' pistons
Total Seal rings
9.0 compression
040 heads with 40 x 35.5 valves with full port & polish
45mm dells with CB update kit with match ported straight shot manifolds
1.5 inch merged header
fully balanced & blueprinted
Berg dual springs & Berg chromoly pushrods
Berg 1.45 rockers
Steel Billet cam ground to K-8 specs
555thou lift , 298 duration

It's no V-6 'killer' but it's enough for me for now................until the end of the year.

Rear wheel horsepower is one of the truest measurements of your vehicles power.
The questions from there are
Is it streetable?
Is it sustainable?
Is it able to get it to the ashphalt?
Can the driver manage it? :D

new thread.... whatcha theenk....??

What astro said.

so maybe we should start a noxious horsepower thread. or a power to weight ratio thread.
i nominate silverwater auto services dyno as the sydney dyno benchmark, am i insane?

"How many horsies under your hood/hatch/lid/bonnet?"

I reckon there's enough interest in the topic (although some may question its intrinsic value) to have it's own leedle posi. Something for the revheds amongst us (i know there are many... own up ya bastards) to play with.
of course there will probably be a lot of wanking. and stroking. and interest. Someone know how to do a poll?

...the stern reply.

somewhere... off in the distance... a cricket chirped...

looks like there's at least gonna be another dyno day in Sydney, so we'll have some more horsepower and engine combo figures for everyone to drool over. myself included. :D
