Tuesdays work...production of floors and panels
I have made a double floor to hide all cables, lines and components.
I finished up every parts which should be in 16mm MDF boards. Next up is to make the rest of the panels in 6mm MDF. Sides, spare tire well and under
the dash.
Things seems a bit "boxy" now, but the end result will be different
Next session in the garage will be Thursday, tomorrow I am going on a roadtrip to pick up my 1965 microbus deluxe.

This thing is unbelievable!! Love your work mate, keep posting pics of this thing!!
Can I ask a question....what size tyres and brand are your rear tyres? And what is their rolling diameter is? Did you have to narrow the rear to fit
them under the guards? Cheers.

Thank you very much! I was on vacation the day the terror struck in Oslo. I actually work 2 mins by foot from where the bomb went off. My office
builing got some damages, but all employees where ok. The scary thing is that I usually walk where he parked the car with the bomb when I am leaving
the office....and quite often at the same time the bomb exploded...
As for the project it has been standing still for some months now. I am starting up my photo business (I am a photographer in addition to my ordinary
daytime job, IT guy) so this is taking up much of my time.
But I do work now and then with it. Hopefully I will be able to get it on the road this year before the snow come back

Thanx!
The rear tyres are Nankang NS-2 195/50 R15. The rolling diameter is a great bit smaler than original The front tyres are Nankang NS2 165/50 R15... even smaler
I have changed to the short driveshafts to be able to get the rear wheels under the guards. I think I have 5mm clearens to the guard when the car is
slammed.

A quick photo recap since last update...
The car is as you can see in my old garage @ home.
This is actually the garage where the car is built, but not assembled
VERY small. Most people dont believe me when they see how small the garage is.
My Fab-Lab pressuryte air unit (daily air system with level control). I actually now got 2 air management systems in the car. One for daily use, and
one for show/fun.
Testing the foglights/indicators I have made a custom relay system so I
can use these as indicators in addition as fog/running lights. Why use more lamps than I need Keep it CLEAN!
One last. When I am not working as a photographer, or working on the project I help my friends with their projects. Here I am customizing the seat
brackets (lowering) for my friends Golf 1 cab. Not often I got pictures of myself working...

Welcome DrLaban.
Love your ride - been following it for ages on VWVortex. Lot's of innovations, time and money spent - but it'll be amazing when it's finished.
So, when are you going to share how you did the dropping down ashpod? What's the secret way you get it to fold down like that?
Keep posting DrLaban, we are all fascinated.

Hey Doc,
Thanx for getting back to my Ashpod question, can't wait for the photos (I guess you don't need to hire a photographer!!! )
Seeing you're so busy with you new business (which is a good thing), I'll probably be dead and buried by the time you get around to it though
Keep it up, it's awesome.

P.S. What's it like to have soooo many people around the world loving your work?
