Pete..Hotdog would certainly be appropriate but I couldn't destroy all the hand painted signage that a good mate did
some19 years ago.The signage is still in pristine order. The majority of signwriting these days is computerised vynil cut out.
HOUNDOG...trivia. Was named such as it had its head down, backside up,tail out & was a bitch of a thing to hang onto.
ps Dave....HOTDOG???? what have you putting in your patty cakes ????

1965 body and a few other suprises
also for mine (Adam Pawlowski) finally decided to bite the bullet, im going an injected turbo setup so the webers are gone after warwick.
cheers adam

Hey Pete, I guess my ragtop could be added... Aiming for this time next year. Should be good for a solid 12.

Hi Pete,
Maybe i could go on the list as well. Doesn`t look like much of a racer but should go alright. In theory should be good for 12`s.

Thanks, Keith.
Almost forgot, not quite finished, but oh so close.

I haven't made a lot of headway in the last 12 months.Bought a lot of parts in the States last year and have fitted/modified where most are
going.Pulled the heads from the engine to fit the new Pro Series ones, and found the cylinders were U/S,so decided to strip the engine fully.Found the
case needs line boring and the joining faces need machining.I will now buy a new Turbo grind camshaft and a new set of Pauter pistons and
cylinders.Have cc'd the heads tonight and the chambers are 50cc.I bought 4 new Drag Slicks from the States in May and they have turned up,so have
fitted the fronts, but have the rear rims away being polished.I have fitted the race seat and the belts, dry sump tank, front beam narrowed with
adjusters, steering box overhauled, new king and link pins and bushes, dropped spindles, steering wheel quick release etc.I am using a standard VW auto
gear shifter, but have modified it so that it won't go from "D" to "N" without lifting the lever- just so I can't accidently slip it into
neutral.I am just finishing a VW type engine stand,so will be starting on the Auto Trans rebuild/modifications in the next few weeks.I have all the
gear to rebuild the diffmyself, but I am sending the Auto to a Trans bloke.I have found a better body to use,and have started to cut some of the rust
out,but have decided to get the rust and metal work done by a panel bloke ,and I will paint it.I just don't have the time any more to do it all-hence
the slow progress.

A few WA street cars and one drag car.... Unfortunately the drag car hasn't been run in over a decade...
Ron Harris:- 67 Bug Drag Bug.... Supercharged AC: Low 11's I think?
Hermann Ortlepp:- 62 Ragtop... Holley fed turbo TIV: well into the lazy 12's.
Bernie Brix:- 56 Oval.... 2276 NA: High 13's?
That's Paul's old black 57 Big winda in the other lane...
Paul Vanvleit:- 56 Oval.... 2276 NA: 13.5
Mark Thompson:- 67 Notchback.... RS Liberty Turbo: 13.00
Simon Thompson:- 60 Bug... 1776 NA: 14.8... Now turbo charged so looking to improve!
Will try to find a pic of Ron's car....

Is this related to "aircooled" drag cars
or can it be street based drag cars which are both "air" & "watercooled" cars too?
Bugger it, I'll put my POS in here
76 Rusty Golf.
2nd hand crap $200 T3 turbo, bone stock 380K engine, modded K-jet, slipping clutch (& wheels), open diff setup.
13.7 @ nearly 102mph in full street trim, full weight.
Only its 3rd run out since being built too!!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2FgAJiTSm9A&feature=player_embedded
Was hoping to test the new setup before Portland, but its not looking good
New setup - New Garrett T3/4, ported head, fresh engine (still stock rods & pistons), more modded K-Jet, drag spec solid centred metal "pain in
the arse" clutch, locked diff, MSD 2 step.
Still full street trim & full weight. Would like to run deep into the 13's (maybe high 12) @ 104-106mph. time will tell!!!!
My old man is a television repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools. I can fix it.
