GOING TO WARWICK

still doing late nights as I am sure many are to prepare for this years great event . Team WPVW will be there competing and most of all , ENJOYING !!
Chris Bolton in the formula vee sporting a new engine combination .
Ben Ford in his 1966 drag beetle (still under construction)
Dean Penrose in the WPVW sports sedan . This will be Deans first drive at Warwick . After turning 17 back in May , getting his licence , then 4 days later turning a few very impressive laps around the Wakefeild Park circuit on the VW nationals supersprint , showed he has very competant driving skills .
Cyndi Hurst will be competing in team WPVW for the first time with a 1974 L bug.
Wayne Penrose in the 1956 street registed turbo oval .

Hope everyone has a safe trip to Warwick and a great weekend . Team WPVW .

yeah i was going to truck it with all the cbb boys but there was no room by the time we checked, i gotta try and either buy or borrow a trailer for mine, will be too much of a prick to drive and if i break anything at warwick, ill be screwed getting it back to sydney..... so safe bet is towing it.... see how i go with $$$$ i guess..... might have to spend ridiculous money on renting one for the weekend.....

I have had quotes on a truck transporter taking cars to Warrick from Wollongong and it would cost around $500 per car return . Still considering doing this as we at WPVW will have to tow 4 trailers at this stage .
Anyone interested in the remaining 2 spots on the truck ?

who needs sleep ?

its 1-30am , I am just to about to leave the workshop and team WPVW are a little closer to being ready for Warwick tonight . The optimum word is LITTLE !!

3 weeks to go and Bens drag bug sits in the shop , half in primer , body off pan , no pedals , no brakes , and still have to build transmission , engine top-end , set up supercharger and dyno-tune .

Chris's formula vee has transmission finished but engine parts still have not returned from being balanced . Still have to build engine and manufacture exhaust & intake system .

The WPVW sports sedan is just about ready with only the fuel cell need cleaning out and filters need changing after the racing ULP destroyed the foam insert at Wakefield Park .

Cyndi's L-bug is still being assembled , no lights or bumpers and engine not yet built . and rego required .

My turbo oval sits in the corner waiting on a full transmission strip down to replace 1st & 2nd gears , engine not yet assembled , and .................I think thats it . No wait !! theres also my T4 transporter that needs the head gasket changed before we go and it also needs rego .

Now thats all...... not much to do !! WHO NEEDS SLEEP...
