Also, some different stuff

At The drive in
Mars Volta
Sparta
Muse
Circa Survive

Check out my band - some of our stuff here. Fission and Candy are the newer songs.

I wont listen to opera or death metal but most things in between are OK.

I like Lilly Allen. I've got her Alright Still CD. A bit of a got sort too. But if by some freak of nature she tries to hook up with me I want someone to shoot me. Geez the woman is harsh on her ex's.

A little excited to be seeing Little Birdy next week so that has been getting a high rotation lately. But also going through an 80's rock phase. Angels a few weeks back, Rose Tattoo coming up in October, ACDC in March.

I can handle almost anything playing in the background at work, but I loath, detest and my head nearly pops when the bloody ads start on commercial stations. I get sick of hearing about half price tiles. Yeah I can get a bit sick of talkback, but it is at least different each time. Those ads are so repetitive and annoying it is insane.

Oh and I really like raw uncut live and amature stuff on the radio. The element of inconsistency appeals to me.

And for me... Punk rock all the way baby!

Nofx, propagandhi and everything in between! I have just discovered "A wilhelm scream" WOW. Dave (davobuggy 1641) and i are in a band and have been for the better part of 10 years now. We are called Align. ( http://www.myspace.com/alignpunkrock )

Over the years i have found that some of the best punkrock i have heard is right here in brisbane. Bands like: The quickening, Dick nasty, Bad day down, Knaw (R.I.P.) and many many more.

Mick.

Hmmm. I'm the opposite, because I treat my ears with respect.

Yeah I know its not for everyone, I mean I hated all the music they played as a kid when all my mates were listening to it, but then it just grew on me and I now love it.

As for respect, true they play a variety of genres and some may not be to taste to everyone, including some songs with colourful language, but thats when you change over and play a CD
The presenters also know their music, check out Myf from Spicks and Specks (ok she's moved on but she grew up on JJJ). I think more disrespectful radio is the like of Kyle Sandilands.

Haven't heard em mate. I will have to give them a go. Like i said it has been a few years since i have been out and about to local ska gigs so im a bit out of the loop as far as sydney/australian ska/punk talent goes. The last news on that front is the break up of Unpaid Debt. After that i kinda stopped

nice work Mick....at least you are actually doing what most of us dream of doin!

The closest I got was buying a really expensive guitar, learning to play a bit, then letting it sit in the corner for the next 6 or so years....now my 13 year old son is rocking out on it :( I am happy for him though, he loves it! He has the potential to do well with it though, I think he has talent, but I guess I'm a biased father!

All the best mate....hey what's the scoop on your bug, no updates for a while.....????

Can't beat at the drive in and the Mars Volta. I saw the volta live at the hordern. They played for 3 hours straight, no breaks, no discernible song change. It was the craziest and most talented performance i have ever seen

My singer was the front man in Evenflow,Pearl Jam tribute band a while back.Sounded just like Eddie Vedder
Heres MY faves anyway.
Anything Pearl jam (fave band) Best of album 'Rear View Mirror' is permanently in my van's cd player.Usually a cranked up 'ALIVE' blaring out
Soundgarden
Nirvana
Alice in Chains
Hunters n collectors
Black Crowes
Guns n Roses
Smashing Pumpkins
Blah blah blah
