Cheers

This is the first time i have used the Dynomat, and i have to say i have been impressed, the way in which it reduses drumming in panels is incredible, as far as use on external surface, so long as you ensure all the edges are firmly in contact with the surface and the surface is clean i cant see a problem, it may get dirty but thats about the ony down side I can see.

Cheers

In my opinion, you would only use dynamat in area's that were going to be covered, > so that they aren't seen, but also, so it wont get dirty and lift. Ideally you would use something like POR15 to seal everything else as it has a hard finish. As for the engine bay, the chrome covers look great (for beetles) but just make noise, If you covered it with the original stuff, would most likely be a good option. engine bays, always get dirty.

Loving the progress Jon. :)

Cheers Colonel

The dynomat in the engine bay will be covered by another product from the same manufacturer which is designed for Engine bays and looks like the original KG cover that covers the fire wall

Just bought these today for the engine

Bought them out of the states.

The pic is from the seller, no not 1916cc, more like 2333cc  will be running 44 Kads initially, but might need to upsize to 51 webbers down the track, I think i might have over done it on the cam and comp front:rolleyes: but chasing 200 ish hp, still contemplating running the super charger as well, but gear boxes will be the limiting factor.

Cheers Empi

Hoepfully Cam will drop through and have a look one day soon to have a look, will have to take him for a spin in it when it is done

Not sure what the holes in the dash were for, but will put them to good use for something.

The tacho is OG but has been reconditioned

Engine looks nice, u got the whole bad boy bubby thing going on there.

Really want to see the stroked motor with the rocker covers fit under the KG engine bay sides. I had empi alloy covers and Claudes buggies covers that wouldnt fit my car once lowered.

The carbs are jetted up 44's, and I share your opinion as to if they will cope with the capacity of the engine, but they should do ok whilst it is being run in and sorted, if they dont cut it then I will be looking at an injection set up, but the over riding thing is I dont like the chances of 175's being able to put down the power it will make even with it not making its potential using the 44's.

Engine looks hot! :)

as long as the carbs are jetted tuned right, they should be fine for gettting the car moving. then you can go up when you want it to be more serious.

Well after much absence from the Ghia I finally plucked up corage to do some more, not much, but something.
Trial fitted the seats and bolted the pulleys on the engine.

Have been too busy having fun on the Bike
