Thanks mate, I parked it there at work yesterday and remembered i took a shot of it in the same spot 7 days earlier, so it was perfect! The thing
scrapes on stuff i didnt know cars could scrape on! Im very lucky i changed the exhausts over, cos if i hadnt, it would have been without one pretty
quickly! I absolutely love it! There were guys taking photos of it at work yesterday, and im always getting questions about it

Your a legend mate! And no chance, this ones not going anywhere! I had a guy come through work asking if it was for sale last weekend...
Heres where it sits at home...
Im going to make up some new door trims for it tomorrow, i currently have the passenger door with a bubblewrap door trim ( a bit of a joke with a mate
) and the drivers with nothing cos the window fell out of the winding mechanism, sadly, when both got removed, they got damaged, so replacements are
coming!
Folks and sisters are going to get me custom plates for it, should order them today/tomorrow i hope

Lamborghini shoot eh? Was that a promo for a new model or something for Solitaire?
Just interested as I used to be involved in the high end vehicle industry, only with the opposition.....Ferrari.
The square is looking seriously hot mate!

Nah, was a mates weekend toy being craned into the Hotel Ballroom, so i took the opportunity to fire off a bunch of shots of it going in and the
ordeal that we went through getting it in there, and then getting it out again sunday morning.
Cheers mate, absolutely loving it at the moment, gotta source a new fuel pump, and fix a throttle linkage thats coming off, and i think rear brake
shoes are rubbing, once that stuffs sorted im sure more stuff will surface!

oh, ok cool.....was that at the Hilton? I have witnessed Ferraris and Maseratis being craned up there in the past.....but never a Lambo
Owning an older car, there always seems to be something to do....stick with it mate, you are doing a good job!

Yeah the Hitlon, the other hotels have better setups that dont require closing roads! Was an experience, given the low ground clearance of the Lambo,
made worse by the fact its a track car, it wasnt easy!
I love owning older cars, new stuff is boring!

So ive been eyeing off the location for a while, with the intention of shooting my car, and a few others down there, having to work last night, which
is unusual for me, i took the camera gear and decided to fire off some shots after work.
Here are my favourites from the night...
I found two big things when doing this, i really like taking shots of the rear end of my car, and its awesome to have music when shooting... So from
now on, I need to take more front end shots, and im always going to have iPod dock, and my phone or something for music...

Cheers mate, really lovin this car more and more each time i drive it.
Sucks that your Dubless, i dont think i could be dubless now! Surely you can scrounge a ride to Volksfest with someone, if my mate cant come, your
welcome to ride shotgun with me
As for entry info, i had a look on the site, and couldnt find jack, might have to send them an email or something.
There is a white Type 3 square i see around my area occasionally, and ive run into him in the past at various places, but havnt been able to corner
him and have a good chat (im one of those wierdoes that can talk about veedubs and cameras for hours....) I'd really like to get the two of them
together and shoot the pair of them! I have also tee'd up a photoshoot with my cars great great great great great great great (etc...) grandson, an
R36 Passat Wagon, looking forward to shooting two of VeeDubs finest at once....

Nothing exciting, but i did get a snap, only on my phone, but a snap, of the Dub and its partner in crime to be, my 1964 Crown Deluxe...
At the moment, its just for where the dub cant go (which is a lot of places, ask my mates parents, they were less than impressed about the big gouge
out of the road when i arrived and left sunday!), but it was an absolute steal, and i couldnt turn it down, 70,000 original Miles, One owner, how
could i say no!

Nah, one black car is enough, i now remember why I vowed never to buy a dark car again, its Filthy!
Slammed, maybe, but not anytime soon, i need to get it out of storage at work first! It got delivered to me and hasn't gone anywhere since haha Will
get the Aircon looked at, (its got factory aircon, its so pimp!!!) and go from there though, might just split costs with my mate, and keep it as the

If your still without one I should have a hub cap somewhere around here. As for other parts, hit me up I may have something spare. That's one nice
looking car. I am jealous that I did not end up getting it, but it would never have looked as good as it is now and would have been impractical for
me. One very very nice ride mate

Thanks to Matt, I just picked up a spare set of rims and another hubcap, that should get me by for now, but will keep it in mind if i ever need
anything, im pretty good for parts at the moment. Pics when it cools down a bit...
A lot of people seem to be envious that i picked it up, as for not looking as good now, who knows mate, you may have done a better job than me! Thanks
mate
The car started to run like shit on the drive to pick up the rims, so once its all cooled down i will have a look and see if i can spot whats wrong,
hopefully its nothing serious and it will be back to its former self soon!

No pics, was too damn hot, maybe tomorrow, but when i was putting the rims into the car i noticed one of them had a 185 wide tyre on it, got me
thinking... i wonder if i can get some 205's under the arse of the dub...
Anyone know? Will give it a wicked stance with some wide rubber under it....

Met up with a mate tonight for a few shots with his car. Its basically the Son/grandson, well, a descendant of mine...
It got too hot, and we kept getting interrupted so we went to the pub, but i have heaps of ideas for a shoot with these cars, so stay tuned!
Basically from tonight ive learnt this, my cars not low enough, its blowing smoke, and people are stupid....
Got started on my door trims today, they should be done tomorrow/early next week, and the dash will be done ASAP too... Volksfest is coming, and its
got my motivation levels very high for bloody hot weather!

The more I look at your square, the better it gets!!
Don't wanna swap the crown for a Beetle?
Looks mad mate.....we'll have to catch up and compare notes on photography too as I'm a bit of a shooter myself.

Was a pleasure meeting you Paul, always good to put faces to names.
Cheers for the photos, i wont say no to any, always good to see what other people take of the car And the plates, im sure there were a few comments thrown around about them! Thanks again
Heres a few of the shots ive done so far
Was an awesome day out, was holding off on updates in this thread (and on other forums) to surprise some people with what had been done to the car
since the last update.
The changes are...
Roof Racks (Complete with Beer Keg and Timber Deck Malibu Surfboard
Heiniken Beer Tap Gear Shift (the thing lights up when you change gears, its like driving around with a friggen torch on in the car!)
Street Sign Door Trim
Empi Stinger Exhaust
Spotlight on front bar
New Plates
A few random Stickers
and i think thats it...
Im now left with the task of reinventing it for the next show, ive stolen a few ideas from other cars down there, and have a few ideas of my own
