Hey Stanley, we got out to the tnt, it was unreal cause there was hardly anyone there. My brother came with me and Col turned up too. I had five runs and got quicker with each run, also smashed my warwick time (with the same engine)
1. 1/4 16.90 Ford Escort V8 smoked me
2. 60' 2.18 , 1/8 10.36, 1/4 15.98, 80.95mph Dunnydoor V6 beaten
3. 60' 2.11 , 1/8 9.899, 1/4 15.74, 83.27mphDunnydoor V6 beaten
4. 60' 2.11 , 1/8 9.885, 1/4 15.73, 84.02mph Dunnydoor Ute V8 took me a 3/4 track
5. 60' 2.10 , 1/8 9.766, 1/4 15.45, 84.72mph. Jap Turbo took me at 3/4 track.

still think that it has a some more in it. Time to sort out the carbs (28 vents are a little to small).
If anyone is going out to have a run at a tnt let me know.

My reactions are getting better too. ( 0.127, 0.029, 0.070, 0.11 ) I really think that I can get it down .5 over the 1/4, 14's is the next goal. I will get into it over the xmas break and hit it again at the end of Jan ( after the New Year Series). I'M HOOKED WELL AND GOOD NOW!!!

Hey Dave,
1776cc AS41 Case, Counter Weighted std Crank, Std Rods Balanced, Engle 100 Cam with 1:1.25 rockers.Straight cut cam gear. Heads are also Std with only a very mild clean. Twin 40mm Dellortos 28mm Vents. Mallory 2 point dist and merged 1 5/8 header.
My Plans now are, rip the heads off for a port job and heavy springs Match port the Manifolds. Carbs also need a bigger set of vents (i have 34's) and next time out I will run it without 1/2 a tank of fuel LOL!
I have 10 days off at Xmas more time in the shed
Thanks

Nice work Jason - the oval looks sweet and some great consistency and times shown at the last tnt.

I have some different size dellorto vents if you want to try a few changes and some different jets. I also have a CB performance update kit which runs bigger vents and horizontal discharge tube.....had tried them in a splitty ute (dyno'd at leons motors recently) and although good for wide open throttle on the dyno runs, not so great (in his engine) for street driving. Could be worth a try if you're keen at any stage (were in 40 dells).

Nice work frosty but i notice you didn't mention that after putting on the CLA stickers you were straight into the nines over the 1/8.But seriously the oval is a rocket, your car is built out of shit and i love it but 20 years of collecting stuff and knowing people you have shown people what you can do and not a lot of big name parts betcha some people are now a bit envious!Gotta say though raise the rear up bigger vents a bit more traction 9.20's/9.30'sat close to 90mph thats my call. But with ported heads bigger springs thats gotta be into the high 8's at 90 plus your gonna want a tough box real soon i might know of one laying around doing nothing give me a call but call me from a pay phone your missus dosen't know who i am and i'd like to remain off her radar!

Heads are back from Dave B not sure how much was cut out..he also die ground one of the chambers, inlet and out let ports for me to copy over to the others. they are finished now and ready for reassembly. the compression was 8.3:1 and now 10.94:1 just have to finish putting it back together and back to the track soon.
I wonder if the misses will get pissed off if i get into the shed when the kids are opening their presents tomorrow morning LOL LOL LOL !!!!

Once again thanks Dave much appreciated !!
