Here is a couple of links to various websites.
Running here in Oz means you have to follow the DLRA ( Dry Lakes Racers Australia) rules which are a tad different to the US (say Bonnevile) rules.
Here you must run a roll cage which is not a requirement in the US for the 36 HP Challenge and tyres must be fitted with metal valve stems. They are
the primary differences.

A few calls to the cla brothers and we have possibly a 2 car team one stone stock and one supercarged.gonna have to do some serious planning for
this.Plus muller is gonna be tough to beat!I hear he has some serious skunk works going on!wish i had some inside info on his new 36.I've only got
inside info on a couple of fast comodores from brisbane and that don't help a 36er.

The engine I had in mind although period correct to say the mid 60's,simply using a Vw stamped magneto means it don't get no love?

So the 36hp engine stays 36hp, with no mods at all?
Whats the differing factor between competitors? (excluding the different in their body weights and how far they press the accelerators etc. etc.)
This sounds awesome and affordable

New engine in process: 94mm p&bs, 74mm C/w chomol Crank, 35.5x39 SP heads, turbo. Wierd combo, hopeful torque monsta!
