I'll have a chat to the others to sort out a time of departure but I'm happy for everyone to meet at my workshop (west burleigh - close to the M1
with a servo just around the corner on the way to the m1 if needed).
As mentioned I would say between 8 and 9am (but will finalise this in the next couple of days) - my workshop is DAS Resto Haus, 6/2 Calabro Way,
Burleigh Heads (0417 645 854). Reedy creek road exit off m1, right at first set of lights into burleigh gardens industraial estate, left at
t-intersection, follow road (curves around to the right), Calabro Way is your first left.
Cheers
Al

Also going down the Friday, John. Taking the SC and camping in a tent.
What time are you leaving Caloundra?
Think Al plans to leave the Gold Coast around 9am, and thinking of the Gateway Aererial Rd parking lot.
Cheers

ok I've been thinking about the gateway arterial parking lot senario n that doesn't sound like a fun way to begin a great vw weekend away so I
really think that leaving earlier will end in smiles all round
I propose to leave sunny coast, tewantin area at around 6am via cooroy to highway south, (can roll thru big BP caboolture if required) onto the yatala
BP for a pit stop around 08.00 leaving about 08.30 onto servo opp big prawn to meet others around 09.30 for a 10.00 departure south..
any thoughts shout em out..

Hey Brett
We haven't really thought of a time for setting off yet, not that organised. We'll be taking it fairly slow and stopping, we like coffee and the
dogs need to pee from time to time. We're pretty easy on timings, we can't get into the house until after 2 anyway, if we get there early, I'll go
for a surf, if there's any swell.

It`d be really cool if , on the way to &/or from Valla,,, If we could have ,,, say,,, a type-3 driving behind me all the way,,, with it`s bonnet
open,,, catching all the expensive gearbox parts comming out the back of my kombi
but then maybe it would be pretty smart if i just brought along a spare gearbox for the trip
anyone up for a gearbox swap on the side of the road ???
:-)

Sure, sounds like fun
I've already put my Auto in twice this week and it still has to come back out again as something is still not right
It will be ready to go to Valla, I'm sure of it (have to think positive - it's about all I have left now!)
