Why not bore you all some more with updates:D

Have finally changed the drive flange seals along with a gearbox oil change.
The newer fully syn oil deffinantly helps with gear changes.

The car now has a new muffler aswell as the original decided to crack in numerous vital places.

Also replaced some suspect fuel lines leading onto the injector rail the other day aswell.
Not a bad idea considering the fuel leak was right above the exhaust manifold!

The car may be running on an Oxygen Sensor too soon if time and money permits.

After realising the fuel injection system was not Digifant 2, but Digifant 1 (gold star if you know what either of those are), I started looking through many wiring diagrams trying to find out the colours of the Oxygen sensor wires.

Well in another surprise I found out that the wiring used in this car is...well unique to this one and only car?? Ill explain.

Take for example this picture of the ECU connection
http://i753.photobucket.com/albums/xx176/ryana90/VWW/DSCF0525.jpg

Wire/connection number 9 is meant to be a 'shield' for the Oxygen sensor and should be black, however the wire is yellow with a black pinstripe and is used for something completly different.

Wire/connection number 16 is meant to be the actual sensor wire for the Oxygen sensor and should be violet in colour, however it is white.

Noone in our local area is willing to look at it, thus my only option is to visit a specialist in Brisbane or Sydney....
Gotta love old cars:lol:

52mm Voltmeter and Oil Pressure gauges mounted in a piece of aluminum, coated with some wrinkle paint.

PS: If you ever want to steal a MK2, that key socket in the right of the top picture activates/deactivates the alarm;)
