Hi All,

The countdown has begun for VW Warwick 2010. Thanks to Mick Motors for coming on board as the major sponsor, and to Volkswagen Genuine Parts and Rod Penrose Performance for their continued support this year.

As I won't be in the drivers seat for this event, you will be happy to know I will be the official track commentator, and with plenty of behind the scenes goss on most drivers and crew, I can guarantee some entertainment from behind the microphone. Bribes will be accepted to keep me quiet....

A reminder - driver entry can be made online or by printing and posting the entry form at http://www.vwma.net.au  no later than September 24th 2010.

Cheers
Craig

One month until VW Warwick. Crank-up the pace if your drag car is still not in one piece!!

The VW Watercooled Class is back on track for 2010 with some healthy early numbers and the VW Special class is looking to field an impressive bracket.

With VWMA expanding to 116 pages from the current issue, there is now extended coverage in issue#28, including more images and info of behind the scenes action, car show and parade over the two days.

For rookie would-be racers who have always been tempted to enter the sport of VW drag racing, then Warwick is the place to find the nation's best drivers and engine builders in one place. The atmosphere is friendly, advice flows freely and the racing is non-stop.

See you on the track.

Cheers
Craig

Hi All,

For Qld VW drag racers who are intending to enter this year's VW Warwick event and have not done so as yet, I will be attending the VWDCQ Action Day this Sunday 12th September with entry forms and other information. I'll be somewhere close to the VWMA T5 and trailer.

Although the event is 3 weeks away, entry cut-off is September 24th. Don't be caught out, as I am unable to take entries after this date.

The trophies for 2010 are different to previous years, and have a 'functional' value as opposed to shelf decoration only. VGA has also chipped in with some factory promotional goodies.

See you on the track.

Cheers

Bloody heck. Is it that time of year again?

I'll be leaving Sydney in the Oval after lunch on Thursday, picking up Jak Rizzo from the Central Coast, and staying overnight in Tamworth. On Friday I'll cruise to Warwick with Keith Hauesler who will be taking his car to Warwick for the first time after almost making it for the previous 2 years.

I look forward to catching up with everyone again.

No improvements to my car, besides new oil and spark plugs.

Jak is going to ride shotgun in my car. We'll probably play "I Spy" communicating in sign language all the way, unless I change manifolds and quieten down the webers.

Jak's car would be better on the trip, but he doesn't want to play gearbox lotto with all that power and the sticky drag strip.

Hey Col. Are bookings available at Mayman's B&B. I know your sister has decided to get married that weekend just to keep you from Warwick. It's only half worked.

Fine then

Travel in your own car then Jak. I don't allow anyone in lyra bike shorts in my car anyway!

I had ear plugs for you and created a cup holder with a hole saw in the passenger floor pan all for nothing then.

I've entered. Your my crew and your car is my support vehicle. Colin is providing bed, but not breakfast on the way up.

I can't wait.

The Gringos are coming, Iv'e had terrible trouble with my tow vehicle. I had to completley rebuild the engine on the T4, But considering I got 500,00km out of the old girl I'm not complainig.
We are runnig a three car team this year and can't wait to get up there.
Nick and the boys aren't coming so I don't know who else is coming from Vic.
