You are wrong in saying that statement.


Unless it's like that from factory or you have it engineer approved and plated it's not allowed.
At least not in Queensland. I can't speak for the other states, as I am unfamiliar with their laws.

Ok, what if you have the same size rims but different profiles giving you different over all diameter of tyre?
I have 14 " rims with 235/60 on the back and 195/65 on the front, never been challenged in the years I've had it.

Different tyre sizes are allowed. There's a percentage difference you are legally allowed. I can't remember what it is.

I'm not saying that it's ever enforced or that the cops even really care. They don't where I am.
Hell I've got 14s on the front and 15s on the back of my Baja.
I'm just saying if they wanted to they could pick on you for it.
