a) Bad enough wanting a golf wagon "Dad's Car". I am 40, have quite a few greys and mathematically its possible, but not ready to get myself a grandpa car.

b) its not on the list. ford holden mitsubishi nissan or subaru. And volkswagen if you're in denial.

Chris your leasing company restricting you to Ford, Holden, Mitsubishi, Nissan or Subaru seems strange and rather unfair. OK, some Holden and Ford models are made in Australia, fair enough for a government dept. But Toyota Camrys are made here too, but they are not on the list - not consistent. Mitsubishi and Nissan USED to be made here, but both are now fully imported. Subaru has always been fully imported. If those makers are allowed, why not all the other importers - such as Volkswagen?

A Camry is a 'grandpa car', not a Golf! But I can just see you and the missus in a Passat wagon. Sure the R36 would be the pick, but even the basic models are a cut above the agricultural Fords, Holdens, Toyotas, Mitsubishis and Nissans. They have been on sale here rather longer than Golf wagons too, so there will be some 3-5-year old models on CarsGuide if you choose that path.
