found this one.
http://forums.aussieveedubbers.com/viewtopic.php?tid=21004 and in it it states
"Aussieveedubbers offers free 90 day storage of images less than 50 kb in size. If you want to keep a permanent avatar or put in bigger pictures, you
need to use your own web space. “
and "In all cases, you should still resize your images to be about 640x480 in size or no more than 50 kB as many members are on modem and really hate
long page load times.
Avatars should be no more than 100x100 pixels in size, and this equates to less than 10 kB in size. Any link to external avatars over that size will
be removed from your profile. “
so its not a new thing and has been this way since 2004

So does this mean I need to have my own web space to keep my avitar (did I thank you for the avitar barls?). looks like I'll have to go to computer
school and learn how to resize pics, though I'm still wondering why what worked one minute won't work now , last time I tried a coaching class the teacher got a bit frustrated with me, (I'm just a dumb
builder in retirement. )
Please note, this is not a complaint or argument, just wondering.

ive always used webspace to host mine. i use photobucket and so does the old man, so donn if he can use it so can you its quite easy.
just sign up for an account and then just hit the upload button and then past the img code straight in as text.
i dont know why it would work then not.
you did thank me for your avatar mate and it really was nothing.
cheers barls

Thanks barls, I'm well known for being an expert in the art of groveling and sucking up, not so much in the art of computering. I'll put away a few hours or days and try mastering the
old photobucket thingie.

there seems to be a very low limit at present...
well under 100kb
so most of the pics I have in albums now have to be resized to use on here...
I have a Pentax camera which used ACDSee for the pics..
which I got used to using.... VERY easy...
Now I also have a Fuji camera which uses Finepixviewer and also Picasa3 ...
Now as I only know what I know from trial and error etc...
I'm NOT really sure what I'm doing... lol
but I can go into ACDSee and resize the pics.... lol
If You can use ACDSee with Your pics when You download them, its very easy to do anything....
or nothing.... lol
cheers
