my one, when it was racing, was named by the Holden sporting car club in Brissie "Russell" because it had 30 odd foot of grunt - then nothing much after that sadly

She doesn't always get called that, sometimes just 'the Beetle', but given that it is more than 'just a car' it's nice it has a name, and all my friends and work colleagues ask me about her by name, which is kind of funny.

My buggy is called "Zak" coz the letters are ZZK and that's about all you can do with it.

You can think outside the box though. My wife's first car had the letter TSL so it was called... "Elliot". Think about it. ;)

My '65 beetle is called Gloria, because she survived.

My Semi-auto beetle is named Eleanor like the car in Gone in 60 Seconds, because she stops running at the most inopportune moments

Ok. my 70 Kombi is called "Shaft" Because it's from the 70's it's big, black, and angry, just like the TV cop show from the 70's called "Shaft". :smirk:
Also because the wrecker I got it off used it to store tail shafts in.

The 70 Beetle I'm rebuilding for Princess Ferral (my daughterJanessa) is called "Nigel" after the character played by Paul Hogan. We figured that a semi gloss Beetle is what Nigel Lovlace 11 years of age, almost 12, would own when he was old enough. remember he did wear a matt black german helmet at one stage.

My notch is called Evie. The previous owner named it that and it kind of stuck. I can't think of any other names that stick. I feel as if the car gets offended if I call it anything else
