we can include it in the future events.

Does this still suit?
I think its a nice spot to sit and chat and a picturesque drive too, somewhere you wouldn't go in the normal path of daily driving.

Everybody is Welcome
Anyone who wants to come along is welcome,You dont need to be from the Gold Coast.
Hopefully This post will get moved to events soon as its no longer just chit chat.
Its not really what I would call an Event either, at this point its just a casual get together of anyone who wants to meet up in the Gold Coast
Area.
We had a great time last time and should be a good day out this time too,
10 am Sunday 31st of August meeting out front of the cinemas on the top level of the Pacific Fair Carpark at Broadbeach.

Have you checked out that place for us....
Doesn't matter if it isn't a nice place, we could go to the same place again....who cares. Just all VW cruise is enough.
Just let us know what facilities are there....BBO, playground, if not will have to be picnic or cafe.
Hopefully my bug makes it!....I will take a tow- rope & have hubby on stand by again.
to tow me again if necessary.

Planning for Kids,
I will ride up to Purlingbrook falls in the next few days to check whats there,
But I believe there is BBQs and Toilets and maybe some swings.
I will check for sure and if its not suitable I have another spot in mind
But a BBQ does sound like a good day to me, I Dont think that there is a shop nearby
I will post a report as to whats there and what might be good to bring.

I proposed to my wife at purlingbrook falls and saw naked european backpackers swimming in the waterhole, so have fond memories of the place.
its a really nice walk down the creek.
there are shops near by. |

I was the Naked Backpacker
Ok After a couple of hours of trying to start my GSXR1100 I admitted defeat at the hands of a collapsed battery.
So Herbie and I went for a drive, the long way round, over hinze dam and out to natural arch, the whole while, swearing blind that Purling brook falls
was out that way somewhere, We eventually turned around and went back up the Springbrook Nerang road which was half way through being fixed,{you
thought it was rough the other weekend!} Then we got to Springbrook Mudgeeraba road and turned right up the hill toward Hardys lookout.
We did soon enough find that all so familiar roadsign that had obviously been moved from where I had thought I last saw it,{Purlingbrook falls <-
}
Who would do such a thing?
We finally got to the park, It had changed a lot from when I was younger but it looks better for the changes,
Like "Bugged Again" said, There is a shop just down the road, walking distance or so,from the BBQ area, There are about 4 One Dollar coin
operated BBQs there and some shelter and quite a few picnic tables and seats. There are signs showing that Fueled fires are ok but not open fires so
Gas BBQs would be ok if anyone wants to bring their own. There is water on tap, But it is signed as NOT DRINKING WATER unless it is boiled, perhaps
its just fresh water and they take no responsibility for its use, so maybe bring some bottled water for drinking, especially if you want to go for a
walk through the waterfall.{where I went Naked swimming in the hope that I meet some friendly naked european Backpackers}
It should make for a good day, its about 30 klms from the Pacific Highway, So fuel up and get on down to Pacific fair Cinema carpark at 10 am Sunday
31st August.
