Excellent! Looks really professional, not to mention "right". Makes me want to get out the 'ol jigsaw.
I'm sure you're very pleased, as you should be.

Not too sure Herbie had a whooping great sub-woofer in the back?
Never-the-less, Herbie is looking sweet - love the plates too!
Now you need one of those donks that MA Motorworks built especially for the last movie incarnation, then you'll be set.

Oh yeah, I seem to recall that when Herbie was getting ready to seriously "whoop somebody", all he did was take off his hubcaps. You tried that yet?

Rag install
Sorry I'm a little late finding this thread but here's a link to my ever long on going "on again off again" project 56 rag thread. It shows me and
my friend who's a professional welder cutting the roof on my oval and installing the rag roof. this was his first one he did which went all to plan.
http://forums.aussieveedubbers.com/viewtopic.php?tid=46087
After he had done this he did the same for bugboy which was much easier on "the flow" whilst welding for some reason. very strange as the cars are
both 56's mine is a late 56 naths is an earlier 56. maybe there was a difference in carbon in the batch's of metal used to make the panels. still
both cars are very strong and as you can see in my thread in the right spot. To be honest you'd have to be an idiot to get it wrong theres so many
reference points as to getting it in the right place.
Yours looks like its came together well Rural Baja how did the trimmer go fitting the headliner theres a few tricks to keep in mind as your doing it
to make it operate smoothly. The outer covers seem easy as long as its a quality one and the bows are held in the right spot. Mines going to be
finally trimmed in June.
recycle, restore, enjoy

The motor trimmer made up his own headliner. Its only temporary until i can afford to order a proper vw one. First rag he has fitted and it turned out
well
Thanks for all the positive feedback. Now the fun starts... Getting it organised for the Longford Revival Festival

I think its perfectly practical. It doesn't leak on me, and there is no wind noise when its shut. All is well

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand then i had to hit a massive forester kangaroo. Damage included the brand new number plate, the front right headlight and the
bonnet. Ive repaired as much as possible and will post after puics tonight. I didnt get time to take pics of the aftermath!
